    M101a1 trailer rebuild

    I tried to get the old axle out but it ended up being a pain. So a cut off wheel made short work of the u bolts and it took a torch and air hammer to get the pieces out of the old axle.

    I found a complete axle for $75 in Florida. A friend who lives in the same town picked it up for me and brought it to Atlanta which was 4 - 5 hours closer.

    More than likely I will have an extra. Right now trying to figure out lug nuts. Not a lot of info out there on thread pitch and size of them.

    Thanks. I know the lug nuts use a 1.5" socket but what thread size and pitch are they? I know left is left handed. Lug nuts are the last thing I need to start putting it together.
