Korean Vehicles
The GMC M211 series is one group that I believe is very identifiable with the Korean conflict. The early Reo M34 / M35 look to similar to the Vietnam M35A1 & M35A2 trucks as well as the M38 looking like an MB / GPW.
I have always identified my M215 as a Korean war era vehicle...
Electric brakes
Send me a PM and I'll put my notes together on how my 9 ton Eager Beaver is wired to our 5 ton.
Changed all the lights to 24v to keep that part simple. I have a seperate circut for the 12v brake controller and brakes.

M221
Congratulations on your new M221 tractor, neat truck. There is one available locally to me that I'd like to pick up, it is a runner too.
Your M221 shares the same shorter chassis as my M215. There are a few differances but the brakes are all the same for all the G749 series trucks except...
Wanted to share some pictures taken during the power pak removal from an Abbot SPG using a M817, these belong to the Viginia Museum of Military Vehicles (VMMV). When I have extra time or in the area I like to volunteer, some times you get to do cool stuff like this.
I would love to own an...
Dnepr K750
This was my Denpr K750 that I restored to look like a BMW R71, sold it a couple years ago to fund the halftrack project. Never could get it to run reliable enough to take anywhere, always had ignition trouble. It would start out running great, get may be 5-10 miles and end up limping...

OK Steel Soldiers,

Figured I would get this started!

Dozer work
It will be awhile before we can afford to build the house, presently the best I can do is clear the house site. So far 5 of the 7 acres are clear where we plan to place the house, my available time is limited this was the first I had been out with the dozer since January. Both my...
Took a couple pictures today while doing some dozer work, this is why I have the 5 ton. The clearing for our future house is about 3/4 mile back in the woods, currently the only access is an unimproved trail. Before the M813 I used a M35A2 to pull the dozer, the 2.5 ton just wasn't enough truck.
Hello SS,
I have been going through the TM's looking for a part number on the NHC250 engine, but I'm lost. The part needed is the oil slinger behind the accessory drive pulley on the front of the engine.
TM9-2320-260-34-1 section 3-70 shows the part as (2) oil slinger
TM9-2320-260-34P1 figure...
Oil seals
Will,
Thanks for taking the time to respond!!
Pulled everything apart, looks like the seal behind the accessory drive may have been the leaker, lots of oil on the back side of the pulley. The drive flange for the harmonic balancer is pitted, so it will get a speedy sleeve.
