I've been toying around with a project. Installing water resistant plugs and I'll be able to pull in and out when need be.
The whole pelican box will be lined and will have a couple compartments inside.
I've looked all over the place for LED replacement bulbs and can seem to find them... I thought I saw somewhere that someone did this but I can't find ****...

Guys.... I'm a former firefighter and this spare setup is a disaster waiting to happen... I was the first person to arrive on a scene. What happened was a family turned there truck over and the 75lb tool box wasn't strapped down and the box itself was what killed the mother (35) and daughter...
I listed what I'm wanting to install on my rig in the first thread. Only thing I want to run on 12v is the momentary switch... I have a external backup battery to charge my cell if need be and the winch will be 24v
I wouldnt even think of doing this.... I purchased a "water tight" 24 to 12 converter on amazon and should have it end of the week... Everyone thanks for all the advice and I'll keep you posted.
Does anyone know a cheaper way to get a 12v source on my Hmmwv? I do not have a dual alternator... I see the small 24v to 12v boxes on epay but don't know if it will work.. all I'm going to be running on 12v is a Pro-Gard G5000UTX-V electronic long gun mount... anyone have any ideas?
