    bobbing a deuce then towing

Bed is not on yet but I'll put up a few details.... spring, rear bumper/lights, rebuilt tranny with hydraulic pump. I'm building a center section between the cab and bed to hold spare and put a hydraulic winch for A frame crane.

    bobbing a deuce then towing

I didn't cut the frame, I put a 105 bed even at the back and located the axle in the wheelwell center. My gooseneck ball is just under the bed and 9" in back of the axle. Pintle is untouched and I plan to pull on both. I use springs AND air bag overloads. I'm not done to tell you how it...

    Tire options for m923

Put an ad up for one or more 14.00. You may get lucky with someone that did the full replacement and has a couple reasonable take-offs. At some point they may be entirely un-obtainable, but I bet you can score 1 or 2 of the 14.00.

Finding the "good" wheel cylinder kits...

    If I can find them I'll sell it all (6). I'm using 1.5" on my 4x4. Edit....I think I traded them...sorry

Finding the "good" wheel cylinder kits...

I have everything but the piston part. I have body, rubber, springs, some the tapered kind and some straight. You know why the straight ones fail don't you? It's because they try and use them with no steel cup on the end, and instead put the spring directly against the rubber. The new...

50-50 offset rims for 5-ton front axle running 16R 20?

I've never heard of them (having not looked). Someone with HEMTT and 16.00 could estimate the outer travel. Since it's a 10" (assuming) the offset would be 5" (50/50). What is the HEMTT and combat? I would like a set of the HEMTT myself for the front of a future 809 bob.

    DIY M101/M105 bow design

Perhaps you could get a small arch built in. The flat tends to pond bad. A rib down the middle might help. It can't be too high but about anything would help.

    Singled out 11.00r20 pics

I have a couple that I was going to put on a 105, not now. Pmransey pulled his but has dual 11.00 rear (looks nice and wide) above. The 14.5 and 11.00 are the same rev/mile.

    M1061 modifications

Here is the repurposed jack. I kike the heavy spring loaded pin that they use to keep it up going down the road, but don't entirely trust it. So I made a support for its up position.

Mixing hemtt and combat rims on m51?

Either one will work on the back as shown but the front probably needs the HEMTT rims. I would like the HEMTT rims if you decide to sell/trade for 2 more combats. I guess there is no reason you can't run a mixed set in the rear with what you have.

    Axle replacement boot M932a2 ?

A search brings this thread up, now. I have to do one side myself to stop a leaker but will do a rebuild in the future. Please post details and parts lists.

Mixing hemtt and combat rims on m51?

Tire size makes a difference in my opinion, because the torque is so much greater. On a dump, I don't know about you, but I back up on my load and use the gate to push new materials I dump. I got that habit with my 817 but the 929 has an intermediate (t-1138) shaft that wants to climb the...

Mixing hemtt and combat rims on m51?

you will have a slightly narrower stance with the HEMTT rims on the rear, thus I like to keep the combat with dish out on the rear. With 16.00, better use them on front. Sent a pm about a trade. I really like the older style body with the 16.00. And if people here are right, there is not...

    Singled out 11.00r20 pics

My $.02 is to put dual 11.00 on the rear and get 2 A3 wheels to put 14.5 on, on the front. Will work the way you have it but the cl of the tire is not close to centered on the wheel bearings.

Options/Opinions on Equipment Type Trailer to Pull Behind a Deuce.

I think the 1061 is the largest a deuce can/should pull. The 1073 being too heavy. Here is my 1061 getting 6' longer tongue and jack relocated and a bunch of other changes. I hope the m35a3 4x4 is just right. Most pulling my trailer will be by m929a2 dumper.

Mixing hemtt and combat rims on m51?

Isn't the HEMTT needed on the front when using 16.00 to clear the steering arm? Looking back, the OP didn't say tire size.

Mixing hemtt and combat rims on m51?

The HEMTT is closer to the center line of the rim by a noticeable amount. That means the dish out will be several inches narrower track on the rear than using combats with large offset and dish out. On the front with dish in, the HEMTT is a couple inches wider track.....looks good but I don't...

Mixing hemtt and combat rims on m51?

That is going to put less dish out on the rear and be setting narrower on the front than if the HEMTT wheels were in the front. Can you get 2 more combat wheels to have the combat with dish out on the rear?
