Many of the new auctions are for vehicles that were produced in the 90's. Therefore to qualify for Historical status, we would have to wait until after 2015 to register them.
Some have suggested that the out of state truckers will drop their trailers just outside of the state and trucks with the 2010 and newer engines will take the trailer from there. This should slow the process and increase costs to everyone. The small truckers are going to get hit the hardest...

M923A2 "tall" Hard top looks ugly. If I had a farm in the midwest where the weather was snow, rain, ice etc. I would probably want to own the hard top, because of low or zero maintenance. The soft top look so much better, but someday it will need to be repaired or replaced.

If that is correct, I seem to like the M925 with hard top, "ten tires" and winch.
It would be nice to have the turbo, but that is just one more thing to go...
I have a chance to purchase the above truck which has 26,000 miles on it. What would be an reasonable price for it. It is in running condition. It has a wench.
Thanks for the responses. I found that the M925 that I am looking at is just a plain 925 with 5 spd. auto trans.
From reading this forum I read that the M925A2 is more desirable, so I will pass on this one and wait for a M925A2.
This is my first post and new to Military vehicles.
I have seen M925 trucks with ten wheels and six wheels. What is preferred? Will the ten wheel truck hold more weight?
