You need to ground hop them before you get too excited as you may have either just won 2 parts motors or 2 boat anchors especially if they are used. Buyer beware.
My 2 cents, Ive seen it, looks pretty but I think you will find that the 454 with no OD trans and the 4:56 gear to be a fuel hog getting 8-10 mpg and top out on power very quickly. The interior is very nice but from a custom not a CUCV. The truck was put together and painted to hide the flaws...
Welcome! Looks good. Partial to the OD green camo myself though. Are those cloth seats? Kinda hard to tell in the pics. Everyone Ive ever seen had the burgundy vinyl interior. Customize away. When mine is finished I will post my build thread. It will look stock but have PW, PDL, Cruise, A/C...
That depends on the Starter. Is it OEM or Aftermarket , 12 or 24V, gear reduction or straight drive? Mine is an aftermarket 24V gear reduction from DB Electrical. Im a firm believer in keepin her 24V.
DB Electrical in Tennessee has Starters and Alternators for everything. They are cheap (paid $108.75 for my 24V gear reduction Starter with free shipping) give a 1yr no hassle return and warranty, they have been in business 30 yrs, and the quality is good. I have purchased a 3.0 mercruiser...
Guys just food for thought. If you live in a high heat area like I do then I would stay away from the headliner. The factory ones fall and droop over time and the heat from the roof will cook your electronics and warp your CD's left in the radio. Just my 2 cents. My radio is going in the OEM...
Battery Cables
What are the Napa numbers for the cables you used as I have been having a hard time finding someone that has any premade that I can use or did you just buy cable and ends and make them up yourself? Thanks! J.
Do not waste your time with the dealer and the recall the ones I spoke to said it is too old and the vin#'s dont come up on the system as well as the full recall #'s. I ordered mine from Napa today and will be getting tomorrow. There is nothing a tubing bender wont modify and with a little...
It's not bad just not always user friendly. Filing for the SF97 is the way to go as they actually sent me a Florida title for the last large trailer I bought. You may also have to go through the EUC process as well. The auction will have a red exclamation point on the page if it is required...

OD is still around??
Stampy have you tried to order anything or use the catalogue on the website because I get nothing when I do? I tried using the contact us link, filled it out but that did not work either. I have also tried to access it on 2 different computers.
Noob M1009 Owner asks 12 or 24V Which is better & what is required when adding A/C?
Just bought an 85 M1009 and I need to replace the starter, flywheel, starter bolts, and relay with the eventuality of adding A/C. The woman @ Nostalgic air was not much help although she did quote me $645 for an...
