Forgive me,maybe I was a bit harsh,but you are comparing a 30 yr.old na diesel to a modern great engine,I love the ls motors but don't want one in a cucv.Look at the expense of both installs and make up your mind.

I think if Terminus is gonna be your off-road 1009 you should throw a set of those 1 ton axles you have laying around on it,and maybe a 2" lift (or not) with some mud terrain 33x12.5s.
Took nice long 75 mile trip one way today for a physical/drug test for new job.And 75 miles back home,first long trip since adding atf to fuel,no diesel knock at all.I guess I will keep adding a qt.at each fill up.It looks like I will be spending this winter in sunny balmy Dayton,OH.
