So a few issues... That super cool rear bumper from blazinoffroad fits great but... It's about 1/2 inch on both sides too inward from letting the tailgate go down. It will have to be modified...
I'm still contemplating on how I'm going to modify the fuel tank/tool box...
Also thinking what would...
Thanks!
Great idea!!! I think a base station ham radio and Solargizer panels is a great idea. I've been busy with work and my blazer, plus it's winter so I put the project on hold for now. Will post more updates in about 2 months:)
There's 4 fuel lines on the tank.
1. Filler
2. Sender
3. Return
4. AUX/Over fill. This ones usually connected to the filler. Or cut and tapped off with a screw to keep air out.
I got a 6.2L diesel truck civilian Gmc 3/4 ton I'll sell ya. 6" lift $2500
That's a great idea! But instead could you use the AUX fuel line instead to do the test? Just tap off the other end and put air in the other. Hmmm ideas:-)
Have you dropped fuel tank and replaced those rubber hoses yet? I have same problem you have with my 83 GMC civilian truck on the pass side tank. It was the tank rubber hoses....
Open your hood. Look at fuel filter mount. See the knob on top? Make sure it's tight. While your at it. See that nipple next to the knob? Yea, get a rubber hose put on nipple and suck with your mouth. Any air? Any fuel? If so... The knob is loose and your getting air in lines. Try that. Don't...
Could be air getting in the fuel lines. Could try replacing the fuel tank rubber hoses. Also check the knob on top of your fuel filter mount. Make sure it's tight. You can test it by putting a rubber hose on that nipple of the fuel filter mount and try and suck. If air, then there's your problem.
It's safer if you use Anti Gel solutions. You can get these at any truck stop. A $15.00 bottle will last you for 2 winters lol!

My 1000 watt block heater on my blazer, inside the block. It's nice because the motor and fluids are warm and it heats up the cab very quick. I got a 600 watt in my truck. It's ok but I prefer the 1000 watt. And no it does not "Glow" lol! :???:
It shouldn't be too hard for ya. Dropping the tank is easy! Took me only 10 mins to drop the tank. A good sharp knife will help you make it faster. Don't worry about taking the rubber hoses off the hard way. Remember your rig is old and it's smart to get new rubber fuel lines for the tank so...
No. The shop cut the frame in the rear so it's flush. Then drilled new holes in the frame to mount the bumper. Right now the bumper is off until I get the wiring and fuel cell figured out. I don't know of any website or shop that makes the tire carrier bumper for the blazer. They are all out of...
Funny... The shop told me today that when they did the flex test, that's as high as the forklift could go and there's a lot more flex in her. I need a ramp test! Lol!!!
These 90-100 gal Transfer Tanks are very common and cheap to get. As low as $100 on Craigs list! They are simple. It's like a small gas station in the back of your truck. Either electric or hand crank. I prefer the hand crank pump. The "L" shape allows for a normal in bed tool box or "T" shape...
Here's what I've got! 60gal fuel tank/Tool box combo. I was going to put in my blazer. But won't fit... Best to get yourself something like this with a external fuel pump and filter activated with a switch inside your cab filling your stock fuel tank.
Sell mine for $500 PM if interested. I live...

I'm not rich. It's been sitting in the shop for over a year. One upgrade at a time:-) Saving and spending.
So far I have no future plans. It depends on how well she performs on the trails. Maybe an Atlas down the road but buy that time it would be truggy time, you know what I mean! Lol!
Here's the front flex test. You will see better drop and articulation on the front due to no over load and the leafs are closer together. I am very pleased with everything so far. More progress coming soon:-)
