G503 for Hmmwv's was a much better forum at one time...everything Hmmwv was in its own area unlike this site...G503 was easier to buy, sell, and find Hmmwv stuff....And all the old timer Hmmwv guys were on there and here.

While the dash cluster is off...Look up to the right and check the ground...its is a stud thru the body.....and goes to all gages and more.

If testing a box in the truck...make sure all glo plugs are dis connected so you won't blow them up if bad box.

Check the rear mount ...some early systems used a short bracket from rear of Alt. to exhaust manifold stud...they get loose and break....Later 200 amp systems used a longer rear bracket which goes down to the lower block....this is a much better rear mount system.
