Little help,
Can anyone tell me which, if any, of the attached engines are whistlers. Also, what to look for to identify one.
If not whistlers, what do they look like respectively.
Thanks much from a hopeful new Deuce owner.
;-)
I pulled one back 150 miles with my 2008 F-250 Power Stroke with ease, and had a pallet of Ammo cans inside the trailer.
If you have enough truck you can pull easily, just watch braking, as without trailer brakes, it would be a lot for the truck brakes to handle on a regular basis.
I just made...
The spare tire looks to be a 31/10.50/15 inch Goodyear Wrangler AT/S. Is it? If you are willing to sell, since it won't match the others, PM me. I need a new one to match the other 3 I have, can not find one anywhere.
Nice M1009
Thanks,
Hey
Nice to meet you there. We had a great day, and great recovery. The truck turned out to be better than I expected.
That fire truck went way to high.
Take care....
Our Fort Meade recovery was 6/Feb and went just fine.
I planned on using a towbar for the trip, but could not get everything together quick enough. I plan on finishing my tow bar project once I get a few hours to put into it. We rented a trailer on a tip from another SS member that was large...
Home safe
Truck is home safe, and at the mechanics garage who is a relative. Giving it a complete check over.
I will post photos of the recovery later today.
All went well, and was a great save.
:grin::grin:
Thanks,
Thanks Lance,
I sure would love some help the day of our removal. This is my first experience with a Deuce, (2 no less), and some help would be great.:grin:
I will P.M. you the details.
Thanks again,
Northeast Guys
I plan on towbaring one with the other pulling.
Does any of the North people have a bar I could purchase or borrow?
I would drive to pickup it up prior to my recovery date.
Thanks,:driver:
Forgot to add
The above engine shots are from the 2 different MV's I purchased.
Here are the pictures of the M109A3's in Fort Drum.
I am sure to have many more questions.
Thanks,;-)
Question,
Can anyone tell me what engine this is? I purchased 2 M109A3's from Fort Drum.
Anyone get a chance to preview any? Most looked in great shape.
Thanks,
John:-D
Had to postpone til Friday Feb 6th.:jumpin: Due to the snow on Wednesday, the base was on a 2 hour delay, and we had an Interstate shut due to a 18 wheeler accident. Given all that and the ice, we decided to postpone.
I will be sure and post some photos from the days events.
I have...
Bob,
Could you send me pictures of exactly how you modified the two 2"x6" recievers from Tractor Supply. I assume you cut to length, then marked and drilled the holes. Any other details on the lifting lug set up would be great, I want to finish the bar today.
Thanks again,
;-)
Thanks Bob,
I purchased the AZ tow bar, I hope to put together today. My pickup is this Wednesday, if I complete everything by then, will use. Otherwise, I may go the trailer route, not sure.
Very insightful information,
Thanks,
The above link works, and takes you to a great thread from your trip, but I can't get the link to work where you explain all the details of building the AZ tow bar to fit.
I tried to cut & paste also, no luck. Looks exactly like what I need, just would like to see the process, and parts used...
