Yeah the 920 is almost that easy, take off the gull wings, fenders grill (which has its own support, four hoses, two side plates that contain the power steering and tranny coolers, two bolts on the bottom and then it comes out. I am waiting for a buddy to come help me man handle this thing in...
You know I have thought a lot about it but that is as far as I have gone, I am a virgin when it comes to injection pumps so if someone could explain the principal operation and how to modify it I would be in!!
I really want to avoid going into the engine too much, I honestly don't need as much...
Solid points but everyone should be like me and have more than one so you can do it all.
P.S. I do take it to the grocery store and drop my kid off at school every chance that I get;)
The things you guys have to think about when it comes to different series of engines is torque, more importantly when it generates the most of it, the 3.0 crd is great for sprinter vans and cherokee's but you will run it to death trying to keep a 14k minimum truck (empty) humming along for any...
No that one is not mine, took that off of eastern surplus website, I have not looked yet to see what trans is shorter than the spicer if any but sliding the t case back a little would not bother me if I had to.
Ok, well good went to bad went to worst today, I was attempting to remove the little plug in the head to install the elbow and tried to cheat with a standard 90 allen wrench and rounded out the hole:|. Then I decided to take off the cooling fan to be able to get more space between the block and...
most of the mechanical DT466's and Cummins 6ct's I have come across and not intercooled. Here are some pics of a Cummins 6ct in a deuce, tight fit but managable. Also if you are putting either one in a deuce you will need a new transmission to handle the power and you can find one shorter than...
No they will not fit in a deuce, the 350 and 400 are the same displacement just more supporting power mods ie boost fuel and some engine upgrades. There are plenty of Allison Auto's that will work with both but be prepared to pay big $$. You can go with whatever you find in the 855 cu inch...
The thing is, this is the "deuce mod and hot rod" forum, I have seen more than enough of these types of posts and it is not stopping anyone from doing what they want with their property. Also who else does all of the above offroad competition? if that was the case this would be the SS mud bogg...
There is a lot of discussion about replacing all of the #10 fuel line and filter all the way to the tank and upgrade it to #12 with a new filter head. I may do this someday but I have no desire to crawl around in the mud this time of year.
Thank you for correcting me, hand are getting faster than my brain now a days. What I was trying to say is the rear cylinders experiencing more heat due to increase fuel and not having a well balance engine as far as power and distributing it evenly.
