I have a Deuce with three color camo CARC paint. I use a power washer to clean off the heavy dirt but can't seem to find anything to wipe it down without leaving a lint or fuzz. Anyone have something that doesn't do this?
Fueling my Deuce getting ready for winter storage and I see coolant leaking under radiator. Inspection showed that the lower radiator hose had several small cracks near end that connects to radiator.
I went to NAPA and asked for part number 7372 and the guy crossed it to a Gates 20611. This...
We were the first ones on Monday morning to pick up a GL wing from the Truck Center. It was a 1984 AM General 925 with a Red River pmp and paint job done in Nov of 09. It had 1102 miles on odometer and 45 hour on the Hobbs. Found tag that said Oil Sending Unit defective which explained the no...
New to M939 and looking in the TM they say to use OE/HDO 10 for Power Steering and OE/HDO 10 for the Trans (per Lube Order) but OE/HDO 15/40 per TM.
My question is what is OE/HDO 10 and OE/HDO 15/40?
What brand of power steering fluid is correct and what brand of auto trans is correct?
Considering a M923A2 or M925A2 but concerned that I will have to get a CDL to drive in Michigan. What has been your experience with the SOS? I read that having a vehicle with air brakes automatically means a CDL. I would not be using it for commercial purposes, just parade duty.
Have wheels off and going to take axle shaft off so that I can inspect the wheel cylinder and axle seal. This is being done because I have a leak on to the inner tire at this axle. What is the part number for the axle flange? One side is jacked up and I can't turn the wheel/hub, do I have to...
Have a leak on left rear wheel (frt rr axle) and will have to take wheels off to see if it is a wheel cylinder or axle seal problem.
Can I do this by pulling one wheel at a time and then the hub or should I borrow a wheel dolly and take both wheels off at same time with hub?
Had a good turn out of military vehicle for the parade in Richmond ,MI. Weather finally cleared and it was a fun day. We started at the local VFW lining up and moved to the point where the parade started. It is always fun to be able to just drive right pass all the others lining up and have a...
I got tired of looking at the rust in my Deuces bed so I wire brushed it and painted it.
Looks a lot better now. I used an Majic brand olive drab camouflage oil base paint from Family Farm and Home Store. Going to do seats next.
Took cap off today to check fuel level and found this white buildup. What do you think it is? A virus? How do I get rid of it? Would a small amount of bleech be ok? I plan to fill tank to the fill line for inside winter storage and don't want the growth to continue.
Thanks for the help.
Putting on my cross bows today noticed there is about a 4 inch difference in height of the strap bolts depending on how I install the corners. The higher way would allow the cargo cover to be stored in a higher location but I was just wondering if there was a "correct military location" up or...
When I picked up my Deuce (M35A2) it had extra cargo covers in the bed. I have unfolded them and one looks like it is for the M36A2 XLWB Deuce but also looks like it is higher than normal with an added 16-18 inches all around. (see photo) What type of truck would use a higher cargo cover? PM me...
My Deuce has some rust that has eaten completely through and the holes are no bigger than one inch other ares are just rust and no hole yet. I want to patch the holes, I haven't done any metal repair in years, what is today's best way? A welded in patch or a fiberglass/bondo type filler or some...
