    1952 M135 W/Winch

I will probably need 8 brake shoes, but won't know for sure until I tear down the rear axle. There is a place called Weldon Truck Parts in Tulsa that has a brake relining facility in Oklahoma City. They sent in the 4 shoes I had to see if they can reline them. Still waiting to hear back from...

    1952 M135 W/Winch

I did a lot of looking online and at a truck parts store today and there are no 1-1/4 cylinders to be had that will fit. I will have to replace all of them with 15306. If I need to get rid of them, you are first in line. Hopefully this truck parts store can reline my brake shoes. Should know...

    1952 M135 W/Winch

I found this thread. It was late last night and I guess I overlooked it. http://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?79598-GMC-wheel-cylinder-parts Plowboy...are you using the Wagner 15306 that you posted a picture of? Those are what I ordered. If I am not mistaken, Nattileather used the...

    1952 M135 W/Winch

I have started going through the brakes on my middle axle and now have a question. Three of the four wheel cylinders are bad and the brakes need relined. I ordered four wheel cylinders, part #WC15306, which is a 1-3/8 bore. The original wheel cylinders on the truck are all 1-1/4 bore. When I did...

1952 M35 Gasser repair and build

That is a neat truck. Keep up the good work!! This reminds me of everything I have been doing to my 1952 M135. It is really rewarding when things are working right.

    m211 transmission rebuild woes!

Have you checked with these guys? I can find several places online that sell Hydramatic parts, but I am not sure what kit we need. http://www.autotran.us/index.html Hopefully we can find a rebuild kit that will work. I have one or two of these transmissions that may need rebuilt too. I have...

    M220 AirPak rebuild.

I got some clarification from Oldfart last night. These pics are of the G749(left) and M54/M800(right) pistons next to each other. The M54 piston internals are a larger diameter but the externals are the same diameter. Here is what Oldfart told me: "It is my understanding from Gun Freak that...

    M220 AirPak rebuild.

Am I understanding right that all we need out of the 5 ton airpak is this??? I pulled this out of an 800 series airpak. That will allow us to use the 5 ton rebuild kit? Will all the seals we need be in that kit?

    1952 M135 W/Winch

The battery cables have been changed out with good ones and military ends put on. The battery hold downs that I was missing are from a parts truck. I am going to wire wheel the battery compartments and spray them with bed liner at some point. These were added to the air tank drain-cocks after...

    Deuce Markings

These are the only markings on the hood of one of mine that I could find after doing some sanding. It is very faint but I could see that at one time it read US ARMY 3G3868 The front bumper is 4G3868 1-HQ-41...very faint. Under the hood has this. I don't understand why the truck number...

    Deuce Markings

I am looking at my own projects. The first four pictures I posted are one of my trucks. The three after that are a friend of mines. The last three are examples that I have found and was hoping to see others so we can find out what is accurate or not since it doesn't seem like many people know...

    Deuce Markings

An old thread but I am looking for markings and trying to find out what they mean. Here are some different ones I have seen. I am currently working on sanding one of my M135's to find hood and bumper numbers. The bumper as you are looking at it reads: 4G 3868 1-HQ-41 The hood is: 4G...

Where to get rubber brake lines for M135??

I used the longer front brake lines since that is the only thing available at the part stores, unless you go and have some custom made. Here is what it looks like. It is long, but it worked fine for me.

    m211 transmission rebuild woes!

Welcome back! I wondered what ever happened to you and making the transmission rebuild video. What seals are you needing? I'll get online and help look. Several of us put together a parts list with modern part numbers to keep our trucks going. If you have any part numbers that we are missing...
