    1952 M135 W/Winch

Haha! Well darn...I was hoping I wouldn't have to do that. If it wouldn't have gotten dark so quick I would have taken the buzzer off and wire wheeled everywhere it made contact with the firewall just to rule out the ground.

I am half way there on the air buzzer. The low pressure switch was replaced with one from a parts truck. The switch is good, does not leak air and made the buzzer come on for a little bit. The buzzer sounded weak, so I tapped on the outside lightly and it started to sound pretty good until...

NAPA parts list for M 135?

As soon as I get a few more things found, I was going to figure out how to post the list into a thread titled "G749 Parts List" or something of the sort and ask a moderator to make it a sticky. I sent the most recent edition to your personal email just now. I used this for a breather hose since...

Air Buzzer I have been working on the air buzzer today and now need to ask for some help. I am not understanding how it works or how to fix it, even with looking in the TM. This is on the driver side just below the dash on the left side of the steering column and I believe it is the air...

I was out doing more work on my truck today and pulled some parts off of a parts truck. I thought this bridge plate cleaned up nice. Before and After (Yes it is the same plate) I'm sure happy with it and did not expect it to turn out so well.

Definitely get TM 9-8024. It will help you a lot. Also NDT is right on as well. Looking in my manual under the transmission troubleshooting, it shows the following as possible causes of your problem: 1. Rear Band 2. Transmission Shift Lever 3. Manual Linkage 4. Rear Servo 5. Transmission...

I fixed my fuel sending unit today. There were three rivets holding the housing together. I drilled them out on the bottom side that goes against the gas tank and opened it up. There is a wire wrapped piece that a little brass contact that is hooked to the float assembly rubs up against. The...

    1952 M135 W/Winch

I have had some time to start going through the wiring under the dash. What a mess. Everything is almost back to military configuration, plugged in where it is supposed to be and most of the 12V stuff added on through the years removed. I still need to hook the air buzzer back up. It was...

Last night a friend of mine took my truck mufflers home with him and today brought them back. He took the best internal parts and made one good complete muffler. The M135 is back to running quiet again! When the weather cooperates, I will try to get a video made.

If I can make a trip up there happen in the near future, I may take you up on the offer and bring you all the metal pieces for a canvas cab top. I have two mufflers here. One that was on the truck that is hollow and the back side is cut out. I could have an end welded on to test that method...

    1952 M135 W/Winch

We didn't race them, but did push them a bit to see what they would do. My truck does not have the REB shifter on it. The 2nd to 3rd shift in high range does not shift as hard as 1st to 2nd. Really I don't notice it much at all except for the sound of the engine changing. In low range the 2nd...

    1952 M135 W/Winch

The other day I ordered some condensers from Alpha Heaven so that I have a few spares. I spoke with majortom and asked him about the carburetor jets and the size differences in the kits we got. He said we definitely do not want to use the parts with smaller openings. He recommended taking a...
