$150 / yr? Ouch. I guess it's better than commercial plates.
Here in WI, thanks to the hard work of several enthusiasts, we have a historic military vehicle plate for $30 that never expires.
I had that happen when I picked up my truck last winter.
Pressing sand and letting it air down right away after flipping on the power fixed it, I assume by equalizing the pressure in all the tires. But your mileage may vary.
Good luck.
This is good news for the MV loving folks here in the Badger State. Thanks for all you guys have done to make life easier for the rest of us!
Cheers!
For what its worth to anybody wanting to stick a solargizer on their M923, this is how I mounted mine to keep it up in the sun as much as possible.
2 3/4" exhaust clamps fit my A2 spare tire davit perfectly. A0 trucks may be a different size.
I just went out and took a look. It looks like the oil pressure sending unit is on drivers side of engine block towards the rear. The thing sticking straight out with the wire connected to it.
Looks just like the one on my old duece.
Please correct me if I am wrong.
My e-brake occasionally exihbits this behavior as well. I thought I fixed it when I replaced the vent on the front service gladhand which was clogged, but it still happens from time to time. I suspect the air switch with the wheel on the e-brake handle is the prob?
Any other ideas?
CTIS highway is 60psi. Other CTIS pressures are in the pic below. If you try to air down too low for the speed you are traveling with the CTIS it will air up automatically after a few minutes. Don't mind the overspeed light, it comes on over 55 in highway mode.
If you need a custom tire...
I just installed the DQ6026 kit on my A2 last week, took about a half hour. The cup on the bottom of mine was stuck on pretty good. There is a good vid on youtube that goes over the install (not my vid) and the included instructions are good. Search "M923 air dryer" on youtube.
You can just remove it and install an elbow in its place to see if it is the issue. It is on the front of the wet tank which is in front of the air dryer (see pic). Mine was bad when I picked up my truck.
