I can't commit to anything yet, Scott, but I've been kicking the idea around. My truck should be registered in two days so that's a big part of it right there.
If you'll look at my stats, Carnac, you will see I haven't been here that long. All I can go by is what people have told me and whatever I come across. I wanted to find out some info about a month ago but the man to ask has closed his thread. I was waiting for as long as I could, but I wanted to...
Well, I'm in the process of getting a title for my deuce and I've given the DMV my serial #'s because that's all I could find. I'm kinda mad reading this because I would've looked for the VIN on the frame before I sent out all my paperwork if I knew to look there.
So basically if I keep a record of how much WMO I'm running, I can pay taxes on it at the end of the year? What do I show the cop who dipped my tank, my running tally? I really can't see them going for that. Don't get me wrong, I like the suggestion. But I would think I'd need something a little...
Not if the truck has single wheels (like a regular F-350), but that point has nothing to do with Deuces.
I dunno, Mike. Alot of other guys are telling me otherwise.
OK, thanks alot guys. You both have some good idea there. If you hear anything let me know Beastmaster. I may just ask the next DOT I see as well. Thanks!
So I'm planning on running alot of WMO in my deuce, and I live in eastern Mass. There are a lot of DOT's around here. I'm not sure how my truck is going to be registered just yet, but it looks like it's going to have Maine commercial plates on it. So if I get pulled over and they decide to "dip"...
I'm going through the hoops of registering my duece as we speak. As of now, I live in Mass but the truck is going to be "garaged" in Maine. I currently have Geico insurance but they called me today to cancel my policy because I live in Mass and my truck is too heavy for them. They did tell me...
Yeah, I did e-mail him and ask that. He said it's just the gauge and some hardware, but no tube or fitting to go to the engine. He claims you can get the stuff at any automotive store, but sounds easier said than done to me... I think I might buy it anyway, but still could use some help.
So I like this boost gauge (Please don't buy it out from under me), but it doesn't come with a line or hardware to hook it up to the engine. I'm very mechanically inclined, but have yet to hook up a boost gauge. Where can I get a line and fittings for this gauge?
eBay Motors: RACING Boost...
I just got my truck home from GL. It shows under 6,000 on the clock (Miles). D turbo looks like it was just put in. I'm looking to trade for a "C". I do have a guy lined up, but if there's anybody interested in being a backup, send me a PM. Thanks.
My first deuce will be home tomorrow:driver:! I cannot fricken wait. Over the last month since I initially won it, people ask me every day "What are you gonna do with that?" I'm so sick of that question. I usually say "I dunno, drive it around I guess." I even have repeat customers that have...
I don't see what the big deal is about towing. I've been on hundreds of convoys with 818's and we were towing at least one in a day. That's what the towbar is made for. I personally drove over miles of washboard (unpaved desert road) on countless occasions and even a HUGE road crossing at full...
