I dunno much about Michigan, but I can tell you that I will be registering my M35A2 in Massachusetts as a camper. Add a little counter, sink, fold out bed, TV, viola! Cheap and easy way to insure AND- If your truck requires a CDL, it no longer will when it's a camper.;-) Now, I dunno about your...
OK Gimpyrobb. I asked him to chime in to explain what he explained to me. It actually sounded like it made some sense, but if the general comcensus is that the "C" will work, I'll run it.
On a side note, will the "C" decrease the HP on an LDS?
Doghead- I was told by a fellow boardmember who I spoke to on the phone and has been into MV's for years. If he wants to chime in and explain I'm sure he can do a better job than me.
rat4speed- Does your engine whistle? The turbo on my LDS looks like a "C" turbo but with a big fat compressor...
Will a "C" turbo work on an LDS 465 1A engine? UPDATED!!!
Here's the deal- I just found out yesterday that the engine in my deuce is an LDS465 1A. I am very happy that I have an engine that makes alot more power than a traditional deuce. However, I wanted toput a "C" turbo on it to get that...
OK, well I have the LDS 465 1A, so I geuss that's good. Brings me up to, what, 190 HP? Well the LDS is a plus I guess. Now hopefully it will whistle with a C turbo. Thanks alot guys.
That is also correct, it's like a jet engine or a more modern turbo-diesel. I want the "blocks away" sound from the C turbo. I wonder if anybody knows if I put the C turbo on the LDS if it will have that loud whine. I would imagine it would.
So I'm looking to get the "Whistle" from my deuce. I thought I had a D turbo because my deuce doesn't whistle. So I order what was supposed to be a C turbo, it shows up, I put it on, no whistle... Now I have the two side by side on the ground comparing them and one appears to be a C and the...
That don't sound half bad, Mauro. Thanks alot for the info. I too am a vet and would actually prefer to have vet plates. I'll be in touch with you, thanks alot!
Actually, now that I think of it, I wonder if I could transfer my car plates over?
I was thinking of going the camper route. Who is to say if it's a camper or not? If I just make a little room in the back, will that be a camper? Do I need a toilet and a bed?
Well, I just got had a LENGTHLY phone call with the IRS. I called and talked to a guy wabout running WMO in my truck. He knew what a deuce is and sounded impressed that I would run it on WMO. He searched, and searched, and searched some more, but he couldn't find any reason why I should pay...
Holy crap, what planet are you from?
It's already been established that you can run a deuce on %100 WMO and that it must be filtered first, that's not the point of this thread.
Wood furnaces, who really cares?
Lifting axles to beat scales? Ummm, I'm pretty sure whether you lift the axles...
