    what is the sheer pin there for? I am not familiar with how these winches work, and what would cause it to sheer? I know it is a fuse of sorts, but what kind of failure would cause it to shear off.

    Hello guys again, Found a possible deuce I am looking at. He is asking $4500, not sure on the year, but it has a plate inside that says it was completely gone over in 1989.     I have been looking for a while, and found a listing for a 1953 flatbed deuce. It is really cheap, $1500 but the ad says it runs and drives well. I am hoping it is not a gas motor, as I am really not interested in the gas trucks. I am about to give the fellow a call, and suggestions on things...
