really? I live in Santa Ynez, about 30 minutes south of Santa Maria, and Pismo is where I plan on going! I didnt know there were any SS members this close to me!
I will be bringing video and still cameras for sure! Thanks for the advice guys!
So in the next couple weeks I want to take my deuce to the dunes. I have talked to a couple people in passing who said they do great, just air down, and if they get stuck, they are super easy to dig out.
Anybody done this? What would you air down to? Any suggestions for taking the deuce to the...
well I bled the entire system and have brakes again, but no brake lights. Took the truck for a drive in the front pasture for a good 20 minutes, all seems well. Going to let it sit till next weekend and repeat the pasture test and see if shes still got brakes.
How the **** did an air bubble...
So I finally got to take a look today, still looks like zero leaking from anywhere that I can see. The master was about 85% full. I pumped it a few times while the cap was open and pedal got harder and harder, and now has brakes again more or less. Obviously I do not trust this, but any thought...

I have looked and looked and have not been able to find a thread on this. My deuce is currently green, and I want to camo it to the pattern found in the manuals.
My question is how is this done? the current finish is quite nice, so I think it would make a fine base coat. Are there stencils...
I have been getting surprisingly good mpg! its been getting a solid 10-11mpg and I do not really drive it easy. I keep freeway cruising to 50 max, high 40s more common, because I too have stretched too many rod bolts and caused other failures operating diesels at high rpms for extended periods.
The sprag transfer was working awesome! truck did great, I have been wheeling for a while in my fords so I am no stranger to flexing out or getting creative in changing a tire. But, we had no lug wrench either, I didnt even have a socket in that size. Anybody know what size it is? and what size...
No spare, and no way to swap, drove it to the bottom of the trail and then crawled home on the rim.
Are these trucks supposed to have a jack for the spare? Maybe a military bottle jack? anybody know where to get one?
So took my deuce up into the hills with some friends this weekend! was a blast even though we ended up with a flat front tire.
