They will spray it or I can help them spray it. It's a great set up they have. They can do 35 truck bedliners per day.
I may have them teach me to spray it. It would be great to learn and I may not ever get another opportunity to try it out.
Thoughts?
Having just changed out my fuel pump, I can tell you that I did not bleed the line immediately after changing it out. It started fine the next day, but........after running it for about 30 miles, I couldn't get it started again. Finally, after three weeks worth of troubleshooting, I finally...
I am planning on doing both the exterior and interior. :)
It looks as though they will be able to do it in the OD green or beige.
No, I really don't want to take the glass out, although I will be replacing the windshield (multiple cracks) and rubber.
I just had an offer to be able to utilitze someone's paint (bedliners only) shop to spray my CUCV with a bedliner type of material. They may even donate the liner material.
The catch? First, the shop is located about 30 miles from where I live. Second, I have to prep the truck for the job...
That is what I figured. All of this global warming is causing more ice than usual here in my region. ;)
I need to get a set, just in case it is needed.
Do I only need one set? For the rear?
Rewiring cig lighter
I began work yesterday on rewiring the cig lighter in my m1009. I added the 12 ga wire to the GP relay, but need to find a good location to put the black wire.
Last week I added a new petcock to my Racor spin on fuel filter, on top, to bleed air out of my fuel line...
Being that we are in the middle of one of our infamous 10 year major ice storms here in the north TX area, that got be thinking about getting chains for my CUCV. I have questions, though. Do we need one set or two for the trucks? Are these 2524's as big of a pain to put on as they appear to be?
Yeah...i noticed a bit of a flame when trying to start her up. I always keep a fire extinguisher near when working with fuel and sparks. :)
I'll head up and help you. When? :)
Back in business. I believe there was air in my fuel line. I opened the bottom valve on the filter, pumped fuel through it, closed it, then opened my new petcock for the air, got fuel flowing through it, and tried again.
I did have to use a shot of ether, but she finally fired up. I ran it for...
Yes, it does make a difference. I added the petcock to the fitting closest to the firewall and the fuel drained out my setup.
I pumped it with the valve open, drained some fuel, closed the valve, and nothing. I tried to start it up and still nothing...zip...nada....
Maybe I'm not doing this...
So, basically, the air rises to the top in the filter, so turning the top petcock open until the fuel runs out and then closing it will rid the system of air in the line.
Right?
