Finally got the 4" Superlift on the front and the 4" ord flip on the back. Now should I fit hmmvw 37s or go with 35s? BTW the civvy k5 i have has 36s and is 1/2" higher in the front and will scrub. I absolutely refuse to trim sheet metal on this truck.

So I was under the impression that ORD was a manufacturer. I ordered flip kits last Wednesday and was told this morning they're on backorder until Friday? Hard to believe they're back ordered on flat-stock. So who is making their stuff?

So I found this for my gf. Already had a lift installed and 36's. PO had extended driveshafts fabbed up, dropped t-case, canted lift blocks. With that being said... The truck was set up for 6-8 inches of lift, yet he installed a 4" front spring and rear block setup. Front shaft only has 1/2" of...
I'm afraid manufacturers testing procedures would include specific testing tools which would be just as expensive as throwing parts at it. Sad to say that. Maybe you could create pressure testing hose and Guage assemblies? I'd say remove those hoses and check for obstructions to and from the...
If the brakes are working, the pump is working. I've seen the ps rubber lines to the gearbox collapse internally and create a blockage causing the steering to go out.

My Gen 2 light stays on at startup and dissapears when I touch the throttle and stays off. I'd suggest getting them tested and repaired at a local builder. Check all of your grounds and connections. As with any vehicle of age ground points tend to get corroded or loosen over time. Those would be...
About to install a 4" front spring setup and I need suggestions on rear block thickness and u-bolt dimensions i.e diameter, inside width, and length for differing block thickness. Looking for leveled look or maybe 1" high in the rear. So wondering should I go 3 or 4 inches? 1984 m1028

The po shot ether to it and blew the starter off, went to the parts store and someone gave him sbc 3/8x16 bolts. Shot ether to it again and snatched the threads out. Sits for 15yrs till I get it and the enjoyment and proper repair began.

The same way a manual trans reduces strain on the engine. Or an electric golf cart motor being attached to a differential. 3:1 or lower is always better on an electrical system than 1:1. Take a lower Amp motor that is wound for higher rpm and attach it to a gearbox(starter drive) and enjoy lower...
Compared to the factory starter the gr I have will spin the heck out of the engine. I like reduced strain on my batteries and cables as well. However I find it hard to believe that my 2 new 6tl batteries would care otherwise. The second the light goes out I hit the key and this thing starts...
Just picked up a 1984 m1028 with 26k original miles and someone did a botch job on the time sert install. Anyway I converted to helicoil with great results and a problem occurred to me. With the original holes drilled to 13/32 the knurl will no longer contact the block below the helicoil...
