hi bill. welcome. i know it is a long drive, but there is a mv yard down here with quite a few goats in it. no engines or trannys, but plenty of axles, and body parts. and if you know where to look while there, a complete trailer, bows and cover included.
i would have to agree with ida on this also. if our brakes were air actuated, then yes, i would worry about every leak. but since our air system is actually only used for the horn, t case, and brake booster, i wouldn't really sweat it.
i'd go get it if i were you. i paid more than that for my dads cj3b. ( his company had a few over in nam), and it didn't run. there are a few at howards for parts, but none had a winch settup.
just get me a list off what all you need for your winch, i can get it all down here. or, if you'd rather, i could take you there, and you could go shopping for yourself.
could the piece on the left, by chance, be a piece of the crank shaft thrust washer. just a thought. haven't had a multi apart, so i'm not sure what their size is.
i ended up turning mine straight out from the pass side, it helped a lot inside. my son and i can now carry on a conversation while driving down the highway. heck, i can even hear the phone ring, and kinda hold a conversation with Mike when he calls. i didn't turn it forward for the reasons of...
i have heard a lot of people talk about the diff. between the 5 ton and the duece engine. but after seeing this, i am a little confused. any help clarifying?
