You're a step ahead of me - I haven't bought a TPS yet. I see what you're saying though. I think if you were to carve a groove in opposite sides of the butterfly "wings", so as to make a sort of saddle for the roll pin, that could do it. Not sure, though, if you'd have room to rotate/clock it...
I know this information has to be on here, but even the advanced searches turn up so many threads, it's tough to get to the one little nugget I need!
Swapping a 4L80e into my '90 M998 and now in the process of staging the parts, with one remaining. My 4L80e has been rebuilt, mated to a NP241C...
I'm 6'6" and really need the knee room up front, and the original seats suck. So...
I found a set of seats from a Razor UTV for $200. The Driver seat sat too high when I put it on top of the adjustable platform, so I took that out, leaving only the square box. Almost perfect height now...
patracy, I've thought the same. Despite a few opinions here that don't actually encourage the 700r4, I'm gonna do the same thing TedG did. I'm not a hardcore offroader, just love to have a little fun and drive mine to my farm. As stupid as it sounds, I despise going 50 mph. I don't need...
Augi,
Your prior post reads: "If you put in a 242 you can change one of the shift forks for a civilian one and it will allow the extra position 2wd hi."
As it turns out, I have the 242 after all. Can you provide some direction on the shift fork mod required to access the 2H position? Will it...
Thanks for the leads, guys. I was pointed in the direction of another, they had it for $20. Kascar's price was $66. So my supplier, think his name was Mac, will be getting more business from me.
I'm pretty sure the answer to my question is on SS somewhere, but I can't find it.
Looking for the turn signal cancelling ring for my '90 M998. My search so far produces bupkis. Any leads on a source?
Thx,
Jon
Follow up: Until DoS actually releases the EUC, I'm twiddling my thumbs. So I figured I'd mess around with those crazy resistors...
I found a 110ohm resistor in 2W and 5W power ratings. After leaving 24V applied for 3 hrs using each, the 5W handled the heat much better. 85 ohms actually...
Understand the heat aspect, and was basing the plan on intermittent use on R & L circuits, which shouldn't generate enough heat to degrade the coil unless I'm sitting in traffic on the brakes. Not the case with parking brakes, thus the reason for putting 2 in series to equalize the current...
Fat fingered the last duplicate response... oops.
Checking into the LED, which would seem to be the easiest. With my plan, any plan actually, I will be adding a new receptacle to the HMMWV to match the trailer, either the round 7-pin or flat 4-wire. Adding another set of lights to the...
I did look into the 3-pin VR's, but found that the ones that were available were only good for 1A. Just looking for something a bit more robust. Thanks for the ideas.

Here's my situation:
New HMMWV owner with more than one trailer wired for std 12V. Same trailers are used routinely behind my F150 and other vehicles (of friends who borrow them).
I'm trying to build a solution that does not involve swapping bulbs on the trailer, so here's what I think might...
