:?: Don't want to hijack the post but it's as good a place as any to ask. One of my spring projects is to sand/prime/ and paint my battery box. Is there any readily available acid resistant coating that anyone can recommend for the inside of the box in lieu of the standard Rustoleum ? I know...
Thanks Emmado22. Taking a second look at my figure #12, what you have pointed out is identified as parts #18-19-and 20 that I thought were internal to the PTO.
I'm once again off to NAPA for some fresh RTV...... :-)
Guys- I did RTFM and cannot even find the part on the drawing. I have installed the PTO on the tranny and noticed that there appears to be a leak from this nipple/stud on the bottom of the PTO after a couple of weeks.
There is no reason to put a drain plug on the PTO so I have no idea what it...
Thank you all for your valuable input into keeping our Steel Soldiers on the road. We do have so much to be thankful for in America. Take a minute to view the following link and then go give your Deuce a hug....... 8)

I searched all the usual places without any luck. However, I did notice the following post on Ebay for a regulator/gage assembly that should fit the bill. It is not pre-set like the original part ( pn 8712239 -FIG 294- TM 9-2320-361-20P) but it will work and for $75 including shipping IMHO it is...
A Ha- Light dawns on Marblehead..... I took both suggestions in a progressive action plan. I removed the inspection cover under the seat and rotated and pushed on the breather vent on the transfer case assuming that it was operating as it should. Taking ACE's suggestion, I removed the vent and...
:?: Guys- I need some help again. My M35A2C has developed a drip from the front axle air switch on to the tranny hump that has me baffled. At first I thought that it must be oil from the oil pressure gage above the switch but it appears to be coming from the transfer switch itself. Since my...
I've got a weird problem with my transfer switch. Within the past month, I've noticed a puddle on the floorboards/tranny hump of what appears to be oil dripping from the switch. I drain the air tanks regularly so I do not believe that it is crud in the air line. It appears to be coming out the...
Sandman- Gov Liquidation has a nice looking deuce with a winch and a hardtop up for auction just outside of Burlington, VT. Might be worth a roadtrip to examine it before you bid on it. Beautiful ride home on I89...
:D Bjorn- if your intention was to make us think- it worked. I did a Google search and came up with the following education about U-joints.
http://www.custompistols.com/cars/articles/ts_ujoints.htm
Bottom line is that one again you are correct- the fixed yokes must be parallel and they are...
The original post got me to thinking about how this rear spring seat is lubricated. The LO states: remove the plug in the bottom of the seat and and install fitting - loosen the screws on the bearing cap and lube with GAA until it appears around the cap then reinstall the plug. I guess my...
Thanks for the suggestion- Rdixiemillier- I took another good look at the steering box, frame and mounts. The frame is true and the box as per the attached photos is secure. The engine mounts look OK but I guess that all it would take is 3/4 inch of "droop" to put me in the fix I'm in. The...
Bjorn- PM me with the details on your fuel supply pump. Looking at the TM from the attached pix- I need the "G" version. But, getting the pump now appears to be the least of my problems. I got under the Deuce this AM with a drop light and my problem is that the pump is hitting the steering box-...
First- my heartfelt thanks for all the postings on duece operation and maintenance. Because of those postings I was able to troubleshoot my problem today. I took my M35A2C out for the first time this spring. It started up on the first crank and I let it warm up for 20 minutes before my trek. I...
Mike- forgot to add that when I registered my deuce in NH, I did not even need the previous owner's title either- just the bill of sale. You are correct- over 15 years and all you need is a bill of sale but you have the option of spending another $25 and getting a title if it has been titled...
Great looking Deuce and the price is right. I would suggest that you fly out of Cleveland to Manchester. NH on Southwest- you can get some great one way fares with 7 days notice. I would also suggest that if you have any pilot friends- see if you can borrow a set of ANR headsets for the 550...
