I do not think the shocks would cause any problems unless something else was wrong. (I still do not have any on the rear and cant tell that I dont) Low tire pressure could contribute, but with the pressure you are running that should not be a problem. A few degrees of pinion angle on my race car...

The outputs on a 200 t-case turn at the same speed. M715 owners have been relocating the rear drive output to the ebrake output to help reduce heat and noise.
I had a brake light switch that leaked around the two electrical studs. When brake light switch harness was plugged in, it would fill with fluid and short the two terminals together. (brake lights on all the time) I replaced the switch with a new one from A B Linn and problem went away. Check...
Was the air gap at one end of the bed? If so the frame and bed can move enough to allow for a gap between the frame and bed. Esp. if there is weight at one end of bed, or on uneven ground. Note the springs used on the bed bolts. They allow for movement/ frame flex.
I just bought a 2.5ton brush truck. It had an eleven hundred gallon tank on it. It seemed kinda small. The fire dept. I bought it from has another one with a 1500 gallon tank. Both were used in areas that mostly see large grass field fires.
