I don't know anything about these transmissions. Of what I do know, I'm thinking a keyway or roll pin maybe??? There is absolutley no noise when in 2nd gear and it shifts into it fine but there's no mesh of gearing either

No I always take off in 1st gear. Especially since I pull such a heavy trailer. Even when not hooked up I still start in 1st gear.

Made it!!!! Truck ran flawless...blew a tire on the trailer just after I got off of the Bay Bridge Tunnel. Got a new tire and went on my way. Thanks guys, made the trip easier knowing somone had my back. Brad
