Found a contact maintenance truck bed today at pull a part in Montgomery, AL. he bed had been put on a civilian dodge 4x4 but the bed was all there with the data plates but it was missing the generator and electricals. I would hate to see it go to the crusher.
Sorry, cant get picture to load.
The track on the other end of the glass - toward where the door striker is - has to be tight against that side of glass to keep the window pushed into the track that is attached to vent window. This also keeps the glass from tilting and binding. Make sure all the tracks are well lubricated...
technichly yes, but the 24 volt confuses the **** out of people to start with and that would really send someone over the edge if they opened the hood. I try to make it more simple instead of more complicated. The 24 volt system really is not complicated if you stop and think it through, but...
Rewired the one on my son's M1009 to 12volt and use it to plug in his winch, 12 volt junper cables, and a 2000 watt inverter to run power tools etc. It is VERY convenient to be able to just plug in and use a heavy duty plug like that!
It was not hard to do. Instead of the two lead wires...
I see mention of extending the breather lines from the front and rear ends, but most people forget to extend the one from the top of the transfer case also. To me this one is more important even though it is the hardest to do.
It is south west of Nashville and northwest of Florence, AL just off the Natchez Trace. Commercial vehicles are not allowed on the Natchez trace so it will have to leave by another route. I see you are in CT. That is a long way as it is quite damaged from the flood. It had a freshly rebuilt...
Great job. I like it. I however wanted to keep the stock shackle mounts and bumper so I used the shackle mounts. The winch can be used front or rear and can be removed altogether quickly. The original shackle pins hold it on so it is very strong.
If you were closer or having someone come through north Alabama I have a set of front springs I would give you for the mismatched ones as they will probably go to the scrapper.

Here is what I came up with. The winch is on a 2" reciever so it can be used front or rear. The NATO plug was converted to 12 volts. The reciever set up on the front has 3 reciever spots so the winch can be placed in any of the positions and the other 2 spots can be used for shackle recievers...
Did it on my son's. It is great to be able to roll the window up and down from the front seat without stopping to get out and walk around the truck. It does draw a lot of power, but if everything is right in the electrical system it should not kill the battery even when the truck is not...
I run it mixed with diesel. Helps lube the system not that ULS diesel is all that is available. It does run stronger with the WMO but you can smell the difference when behind it. Just make sure it has NO water in it. Technically taxes have already been paid on the oil when it was bought, I...
Just 4 screws at the edge covered by the hood, remove the wipers and wiggle it out. Spray all the joints with WD40 or Blaster and reassemble. Not too bad.
