The blend door originally was covered with a material that sealed and insulated it. When I replaced the heater core I recovered the door with padding from fabric store as all of the material had dry rotted off. Makes a world of difference keeping cold air and hot air seperated.

The M1009 did not have a light in the transfer case shifter, but it is the same as the civilian model that did have the light. It is easy to add a light with a factory socket and 2 wires, just splice them in to the light for the volt meter as this light is run by wire and easily tapped.

Actually both bateries are 12 volt. They are run in series so the power is 24 volts out of second battery (2 x 12 volts). Don't try to jump with 12 volt, just take both batteries out and completely charge each 12 volt battery seperatly on 12 volts then put them back in. The front battery...

I live in Alabama and my 2500HD came with one from the factory. I love it even though i don't "need" it, the heater works almost immediately on those cool mornings. Amazing how much quicker warm ups are.
