Good to hear. Yea they did look pretty large. Hardest spot would be finding a spot for it. Would love a smaller one for the 802's and 803's but those are harder to find for a decent price. Are there any manuals around for those guys? Would be nice to find dimensions and weights.
Anyone used or have one of these? Wondering how low it will go. I see alot of switches on the panel but can't quite make out the lettering. Its a 3phase as well.
Well. I surely didn't have the washers in mine. I'll definitely be sure to note the dimensions on these as they were a little more than a few cents. Amazing what they charged for what it is. I was expecting a bit more. But whatever, lesson learned. I'll check the clamps as well next time I fire...
So its hard to tell if I have a washer in there or not. I ran a pick along the inside edge to see if I could feel seam but I didn't. Also not sure if the washer is supposed to be copper or steel. I got a magnet in there and it appeared that the shoulder pictured was steel. I scrapped some soot...
Thats what I'm looking at. $25 a piece to. Sheesh. I haven't been able to verify if mine are there or not. Might not be able to until early next week but we'll see.
Thanks. So I guess you just open up the zip ties and undo the terminals to get the board at? Not mind doing it as I'd like to do it right.
Also got the quad winding fuse installed. Cut it so I didn't need any wire. Was close, but worked.
My fuel return lines were also leaking, they had...
Well. Was def. the CR1. Got 20 of them in and clipped one side and then the other just fell off right off so wasn't soldered very well. Put clips on the new one and all was normal. Fault indicator worked fine, panel lights were fine and started right up. Now I gotta fix the fuel coming out of...
Thanks, I actually had that one saved and went ahead and ordered them. Don't really need 20, but oh well. Digi-key has some as well but I think the shipping killed the savings of buying one.
I'll double check. But they still appeared hooked up, and worked the first time I hooked the battery up. I never got a fault indication. I'm not entirely sure if the fault module works. Never tried it the first time. However it did start and run after resetting the CB1 on the first time I tried...
Ok. So I got my 802 fired up this weekend and running well. Ran for a few mins with no load then I hit the panel lights and it shutdown. After that I had no power when S1 turned to prime. Checked CB1 and it was pushed in. Estop pulled out. Gave up for the evening.
Next afternoon I hooked the...
Hey guys. So an update to my 802a. Got oil and filter changed out. Got the primary fuel filter off barely. Mangled the **** out of it. Secondary still not sure how to get off. Either way I drained the old fuel and filled up with fresh. Got two new injectors in and primed the fuel system. Took a...
For an automatic transfer switch per nec code the generator has to match the input power, in simple terms. Unless you have load shedding contractors on certain circuits so that when it switches over it won't overload the gen set. Not as simple but pretty seemless in operation.
If you have a...
Nice. Thanks for the pics. What would you say is replicated between the two control sources?
I'm looking for the 5220 to activate the load shedding relays I will put in place and would like to be able to turn off the genset if I'm away for two weeks and lose power so it doesn't run till its out...
Wanted to check in and see how this was all working for you now a few years later, or if you had changed the setup. I like the ASCO switch and they seem a bit easier to find on the grey/used market. My concern was the lake of load shedding capability but the power manager seems like it could...
Not trying to argue the logic of the ATS code but more so the manual as well. Sure its assumed you manual manage the load, but how do you know that the HW isn't running, or your aux heat isn't running when you flip the switch? Not saying you in particular, just in general. Unless there's a...
I saw a note in the product literature for the ATS I'm looking to use stating that, but wasn't sure if it was more of a guide line. I can see where the issues come into play obviously but it seems if you do it right it can be managed.
I mean, if a manual setup doing the same setup are you...
Well, finally got through all 23 pages. Looks like a great install. Looks like you have yours wired in before it hits the main panel. Any issues with the generator not being rated to supply the entire load of the panel? I'm probably going to hard wire my 802 into an ATS before the panel so as...
