Well today I changed the rear U-Joint... That was fun. Luckily when it went it's didn't completely go. I was about 4 miles from home. I put it in 4WD and made to my garage. I bought a heavy duty U-Joint and took about an hour. So much better now. Looks like I will be replacing the E-break cables...
This is an excellent alternative to installing a radio and speakess. I love mine. Mounted it just above the radio plate mount on the dash. That way I can listen to Spotify or pandora. Or blue tooth phone calls. [emoji1] [emoji106]
Well tonight I bypassed the blower switch with a regular on off switch until I get a new one ordered from LMC. Also tinted the back window. Going to tint the tow back side windows next. (5%) Put all new weather seals where there cap meets the body. Greased the window regulator.
I have had the similar problem. Look at the buss bar on the fire wall. Most likely the conections are dirty or bad.
1. Disconnect batteries
2. Unbolt all connections and clean them with a wire brush them apply dielectric to them and rebolt them back.
3. Same to battery connections.

I envy the time and dedication you have for your truck. I wish I had the time to maintain mine. I hate to change the alternator durring my lunch break lol.
It should, but it is not charging a higher voltage (reads 13.4, used to read 14.7) the volt meter on the dash is just barley in the green. But the Gen 1 light is now off so that is good too.
It's always something. ... any ideas for nicknames for a vehicle always needing something?
Well got the alternator in. But the pulley on the new one was a 1/4 smaller than the old one. Couldn't get the old one off so I ended up drilling out the mount to offset the tension on the belt. Pain in the ass... but hey its a MV so why would it be easy... lol
Here is my radio set up, 1. FT8800(vhf/uhf) dash with detachable faceplate. 2. FT2900 (vhf) on the left. And a CB on the right with a small ac inverter for the Hand held chargers both dual band (vhf/uhf)
Well I replaced all the battery connectors, put new wires and connectors on the bus bar both - & + also new bus bar copper plates, replaced all the glow plug wires, cleaned all grounds (that was painful) cleaned all the connections on the alternators, took apart the fuse b9x assembly and...
I will have to go back over all of them. I wish it was in the garage .... Would make things easier. I will have to check the starter relay . where is that located?
