Gimpy, thanks for the input, I would be coming off of 1400's so would hope not to lose too much top speed. If 60mph is still attainable that would be perfect.
Has anybody done this? I know this size has been used on 2 1/2 tons but was curious if anybody had done this on a 5 ton? How was the top speed affected?
Also has anybody been successful using the MRAP rim on a 5 ton?

I have the M989, it tows quite well behind 5ton, con is if you turn too sharp you can contact the corner of the bed. Not too much of an issue in my mind.
They are flat.... the full story was someone tried to steel the loader but it was chained/padlocked on to trailer, so their bright idea was to try and use the loader to break the chain which is why it landed up hanging half off the trailer... still chained on. So just to add insult to injury...
Never driven one of these but heard they knock your fillings out without a fairly heavy tongue load, so wondered what if you removed a few of leafs in the back springs (if this is even possible) do you think this will help with the harsh ride?
Just a thought because I really want to use one of...
