I fought the deuce and the deuce won

WD 40 is ggod for soaking chains so they dont rust up, :) Kroil and PB blaster are the only ones that actually do what they say, all others lie :) Heat is the biggest helper after that like said, and the air hammer is awesome too, years ago i bought an air hammer and selected bits and cut off...

    what engine??

Re pack bearings only, and new seals, engine additives work great when they are in the engine, These are tough engines, not tight tolerances for sure, 30 weight was the oil used in em for years, now mil and other experts all say 15/40. pull wheels and look for leaky cylinders, if none great but...

    My first Deuce

I assume u mean the cover with 2 end curtains ? The front behind the cab goes on first, a rope winds thru each eye let and around the bow every time back to the eye let, I used zip tys to hang it first, was much easier than used the rope, then put the rear on , lay out cover on ground, front...

    Moving a 5ton gasser

I may disagree, I have a few thou miles with a deuce behind a deuce and it has always tracked and road just nice, I have towed a 5 ton behind a deuce a few times also also, even with air, I think i was fine, but it is A LOT safer with the same weight or lower behind a tow bar, I would never ty...

why is the 5 ton front wheel further up?

these trucks need to climb a 60% slope, I believe that is the only reason the axle is where it is, with out the bumper digging in , otherwise the steering radius would be preferred a little bit back,Also when adding a winch to these trucks the bumper would always hit the ground first up a hill...

taller stack I can hear now !

I would think the official looking taller top is just a cut near the end of the stack on truck and another top from the parts room put on top, Yes like said its been done in service on a few trucks i have seen over the years , but not alot , I would think the average 88mike would not have...

    Moving a 5ton gasser

The danger factor with the deuce far out ways the fuel cost and fun of driving the 5 ton, as opposed to the fear of the 5 ton behind the deuce pushing U around :) Ive done it a few times, can be done, would not recommend it. drive it take your time and enjoy the truck, Oh ,............. oh well...

    Suggestions on Large Tire Balancing...???

QUOTE""" Curious, What kind of problems are you guys having, that indicates the tires need to be balanced? None are balanced on our 2 Deuces with 900-20's, or the M813 with 1400R20's. I don't notice any shimmy or vibration like I have in a car with unbalanced tires. And U never will...

    24-28V Impact

Awesome tool, great for spinning the nuts off and on, but a 3/4 breaker bar with pipe to remove and final tighten is needed, never just use the gun to tighten the nuts, they need like 600 #s of torque when running the Big tires,Im talking deuces and up, standard 900 or 1100 tires need I think...

    M 936 wrecker batteries

All 939 series trucks have the same batts, same as the 809 and older 5 tons, 4 batts,...a single 24 volt batt will work 2 12 volt batts will work, 24 volts is 24 volts. there are so many threads on towing em and batterys and care, u might want to do a search then ask the questions U have left...
