First thing I asked for in my rebuild was to inspect and replace the wiring, when its 50 years old it’s probably time for new wires and connections. Out of all the ways the M35 could kill me (split rims, break system, etc.) I would hate to go out to electrical fire.

She is a 1971 M35A2 that is still coming back to life, I do not expect to win however it’s fun to get her out there.

They are all over eBay and any one of the 50 vendors for military truck parts. Not trying to be rude but I see them all the time when I am looking for other parts.

When I get home from this crud I just want to see the wife and kiddos and DRIVE MY TRUCK!

How did you attach the 3 point seatbelts? 2 of the points are self-explanatory but what about the shoulder strap?

What year of durango and how did you mount them?

Did you build a frame for the passenger seats or did you use the old frame somehow?

This is the post I needed to see! So many ways to upgrade the companion seat from its hard and awful state.

What model jeep? Did you attach them to the springer base or fab something?

AR550 steel would work well, I would look into the old gun trucks from Nam. Some of them are really elaborate and somewhere slap dash welded armor like we did in Iraq.
