I to plan on going back to Howards at the time i was pressed for time and did not have the luxury of taking pics but i was right there amongst all those little treasures that are hiding in the weeds.... Neat place, i encourage guys to take a trip to howards, i hope to get back up there shortly...
I agree with bjorn on this one, drums are easier to work with and have been around since the braking system come about, i know they are sometimes a pain but with these trucks being able to ford water and whathave you, i think discs would be a bad idea and i do not know of any dump truck or...
I agree with SixBuy on the zip codes but most of us from the old site have either talked by phone or have met at least one or more members in person, i agree on keeping personal info private if possible don't want someone from outside picking up on any of that...

thanks for the advice guys, the blue paint was put on by the town that had the truck, its not rough but more of a smooth type paint, thats why i was asking as im not familiar with painting and wasn't sure if i just painted over this blue that it would stick, Might be that light sanding and then...

yeah i have this sweet spot for the ISB Cummins,,, if it were a woman i would marry it.... thats what will happen with the 24 Valve if and when the dodge body is shot, just not sure how i will get around the electrical computerized crap with a tranny.. The old 12V's being mechanical in ever...

Sweet there Ugg, which NG in Va. did it come from? Hey if all else fails, trust me duct tape will get the job done, im a prime example of college knowhow on duct tape, that stuff has been used for more things than i can mention not to mention some stuff i can't say LOL
well just a thought and being a owner of a more modern turbo diesel engine, namely the cummins, there are turbo primers out there that can get oil to the turbo beariing before startup... I know alot of guys over on the TDR site have either a primer setup or a turbo cooldown device..... Just some...
yeah from what i understand they are fairly new tires, will be a good little trip to take anyways, im looking mainly to hav decent tires on it so i can move it around and use it alittle bit here on the farm, in the meantime building up monies for new tires.
