Non "Made In China" parts list.

Chinese stuff is crap. They poison our kids with tainted food toys , our pets etc and you think they wouldn't cut corners on parts ? All the reasons OD mentioned are true but a major one being overlooked is that if Chinese made stuff had to meet Quality and safety standards that American...

    CUCV 24v to 12v How-To

I have weighed this both ways. The pros of the 24v is in cold weather it starts way better.no question about it. Also keeping it 24v stock keeps it more desirable as no one wants someone else's wiring Mess.As far as a starter "on the road" a 12v one will work but don't expect it to last long...

Request for GP replacement assistance - Police Involved

How can anyone tell you what to do if it is registered and insured ? I mean around here the town(not the cops) can bust your balls for an unregistered but if it is registered that is utter bull****. talk about communism. I would not live there for sure. I am in disbelief. Of course the cops...

    6.2 White Smoke

You need to determine what the smoke is. Does it smell like raw fuel ? Does it smell sweet ? It could be coolant, it could be worn injs, it could be bad glows, it could be the cold advance not working. Does it high idle when cold ? A little is ok when cold but alot means something needs...

    injection pump timing

I have worked on many many 6.2's and what Dstang said is pretty much the norm. If they were all meant to be set with the marks lined up, then why have it adjustable at all. I intend to do a full thread on timing hopefully next weekend with a Timing Light. The proper tool was made by Kent Moore...

    Coolant Thermostats....USA made anymore?

You should use ONLY gm factory Thermostats. The aftermarket ones don't block the bypass off properly and allow coolant to bypass the radiator. I have heard of people saying Robert Shaws work as well but I ONLY use GM ones.

    Swapping a 6.5 HMMWV into the m1008

A few things. Would a Body lift help the firewall issue ? Also I believe the block is different on a centermount turbo. Something to do with the oil return. As far as the cooling crossover...Heath diesel made a kit similar to that years ago for 6.5TD. it has been proven by Bill that the flow is...

    Axle grinding sound.

I was thinking that also or maybe you put one of the brake pads in backwards...The best way to try and diagnose the problem is to jack that wheel up off the ground and spin it by hand.

Injection Pump swap. Lot's of pics

I think it's way easier than ripping the front of the motor down.

Injection Pump swap. Lot's of pics

Here's the pics of both the proper IP tools and also a way to move the IP using two 3/8 bols and a prybar. You could also weld a bar to the two bolts and make a turning tool but I strongly recommend NOT prying on the housing of the IP. I tried to make this as detailed as possible because...

Injection Pump swap. Lot's of pics

It would be more work to do that. It would require removing all the accessoruies, draining the coolant etc etc. Yanking the IP was faster and easier.

Yes but overtime I believe it will cause Premature bearing failure on the ip
