I have no idea what the third TM Nonotagain posted is for, but the other two are definitely the ones you want. The parts TM for the MEP-003a is TM 5-6115-585-24P.
The filters you need are a WIX 33113 filter for the fuel filters, they even come with the correct o-ring gasket to seal the bowl...
Think about what you just said here, and look at what you posted earlier. What's the max rated current output of your set? 52 amps, you're feeding through a 60 amp breaker...it's not going to trip before overloading your set. Granted, these sets are heavier than you are going to find in the...
It doesn't meet any code requirements at all, but a lot of people do it. It's dangerous for the linemen working on the high voltage wires where ever they may be if your service disconnect was not turned off. But I can tell you this much, if you ever do it this way and forget to turn off that...
First off, congrats on getting it running.
No, it will not hurt it to run on one fuel pump, just disconnect the power to the unused one so it doesn't run dry. You can buy another one from your local NAPA or o'reillys, they both can get the "Facet" pumps, just get them to look through the...
Westex, there should be a couple of stickers pasted on the trucks saying to use only silicone brake fluid. I haven't heard of one yet coming from the military that doesn't have DOT 5 in it, not to say that is can't happen but the majority of them seem to be DOT 5 only. If you are unsure of...
I'm not telling you what to do, but if you talk to the battery experts, they'll tell you to replace them both. My local interstate dealer/battery shop (this is all they do is batteries) told me they will not even warranty a battery for a 24 volt system if they are not both replaced at the same...
The solenoid is on the starter I believe.
If it were me, I would rig up a test light to the lead coming into the starter solenoid (wire #214) and ground the other end of the light. When you hit the starter button, if the test light comes on, then you know your starter button, and starter relay...
The 12 foot slats were $40 each, times 4 came to $160. Pre-drilled and painted.
Here is the thread baxter started about fiberglass bows and troop seats. It's a long one, but in it Lex takes over then starts tracking down the OEM. This is Lex's last post in that thread where he talks about...
just regular 3/8 or 1/2 tubing, whichever you have or want to use. Get it at the hardware store, plumbing supply house, contractors supply houses. They should sell the compression fittings at the same place as well. Copper tubing is not really hard to work with at all.
If it were me, I would use the copper and stay away from the poly/nylon tubing for that application. Copper may be a little more difficult to work with, but it will handle whatever extreme condition you throw at it. Plus the higher pressure poly/nylon tubing is stiff as a board on the best...
The great thing about the fiberglass from Stephan Wood is that everything is painted with fresh green CARC and pre-drilled, ready for assembly. If someone chooses to buy a complete package from them, they will offer to ship it un-assembled with all hardware included to save on the shipping...
Stephan Wood Products Inc., in Grayling MI. You can call them or E-mail them. Frank is the guy to talk to, he seems to do best with E-mail though.
Stephan Wood Products truck and trailer parts aftermarket accessories
As the title says, today I started my troop seat project.
I acquired a really nice set of fiberglass troop seats a while back as the wooden ones on my truck were falling apart. My truck already had/has a new fiberglass headboard installed, so I figured I would do fiberglass all the way around...
short answer....they can run on most any hydrocarbon.
Shorter answer...use the search feature in the header bar, there have been literally dozens of threads about this. There is also a complete section of the forum dedicated to alternative fuels.
goldneagle, I don't know for sure, but I think the gen head swap would be impractical because of the speed at which the turbine would be turning. I think they turn pretty darn fast, and you would actually need to slow it way down to get to the 1800 or 3600 RPM range needed for a/c generation...
I completely understand Jim, I often got that way when I'm tired too.
Small permanent magnet DC motors like these hyd. pumps and starters can easily be fed with a higher voltage and run fine, actually better as tm america pointed out. The only coil in a small DC motor like these is the...
