    M109A3 Splashgaurds...Cheap

yeah, I read about your head gasket problem, sorry to hear that. I had to go check mine just to be sure of the differences myself. It would be nice if I could make use of some of them myself, it might turn this otherwise horrible day into something worthwhile.

scooter, the "V" bend in the guard going down the middle for one thing...the deuce has two bends each about a third of the way in. And the sides of these guards have a bend of about an inch on each side, where the deuce is just flat steel. Recovry, The measurements on those seat pedestals is...

    Deuce Hood

I would love to have a cleaner deuce hood, but I'm a little far from you to make it worth my while to get it. I could probably completely refurbish the one I have for what it would cost me to get one from you...unless you know a way to get it here free.

Yet another horror story about Creekside (OH)

Today, I went out to the GL warehouse at Creekside to pick up one little pallet of clean air kits for the deuce that I won. I get there at about 0720 this morning, it takes them until about 0755 to get me though the gate, they couldn't find my invoice!!! :?: Come on people, it's on the dammed...

    M109A3 Splashgaurds...Cheap

Hey guys, I know this should be in the classifieds, mods feel free to delete if you like. I just wanted to take this opportunity to see if any members wanted some of this stuff before it hits the scrap yard. I have about 16 Front splashguards for the M109a3 trucks. I have absolutely no use...

    SR71 Blackbird

I've always loved the Blackbird, that story makes it seem more like a person than a plane. Just goes to prove that when it counts America can still engineer the best.

    Connecting MEP to house

DFN, You definitely had an electrician who knows some quality stuff. Those connectors are top notch. We use the steel versions in the mill for welding receptacles all the time. They are VERY expensive!, but high quality, positive connections. They have a slot and key on them so you can't...

    USMC Kawasaki KLR 250

nspctr1, did you mean KLR 650 or the 250? Wrench, the two that sold on GL were the 650 variant, weren't they??. If nspctr1 was indeed talking about a 250 cc, I would stay well less then 1000 for something that small, used and no idea of operating condition. Even if it were the 650 he is...

    Connecting MEP to house

SaC, I didn't mean for that post to sound like you were accusing me of trying to steer people toward an electrician. I just don't want to see anybody get hurt, even though I think most homeowners can handle a certain degree of electrical work without a qualified electrician being present. Home...

    Connecting MEP to house

Thanks for the kind words. I am an electrician by trade, but I am NOT trying to drum up business for my fellow tradesmen, I just do not want to see anybody get hurt! I don't deal with residential stuff at all unless it's my own, I'm an industrial electrician, but I don't feel doing residential...

Mep 002, Mep003 vs civ genset?

That looks really good...except that it's not level :twisted::twisted: I like the fuel filter set-up. I hope that at least one of those filters has a water separator built in.

    More Newbie Questions M35A2

my '70 Kaiser has the "D" turbo. The "D" may be newer, but from what I've read they were also a lot more plentiful. Probably as one went bad it was replaced with a "D".

    Connecting MEP to house

Good to hear. If you're going to be stringing out the cable each use, then I would definitely go with the 6/4 "SO" cord, it's not the cheapest stuff in the world, but you want something that will withstand the harsh environment of a storm, which includes rain, possibly snow, sleet, maybe a tree...

    More Newbie Questions M35A2

I can't help out with too many of your questions as I am still becoming acquainted with my first deuce. But Welcome to the madness!!! It'll start small, just one deuce, I can handle that :-D. Then it will grow, gotta have another deuce....:-D no wait, I think I want a 5 ton:razz:...strike...

Started the Lube and Servicing Unit today

Yeah, Saturn does have the spin on adapters listed for something like $43 and change. I know you can buy quite a few cartridge filters for that price though. Once you get that governor straightened out, let me know how it works for you. I'm going to get mine adjusted here this week and then...

    Connecting MEP to house

That wire on E-pay is actually 2/0 welding cable. The ultra flex design and 2/0 rating is standard for welding applications.

    Connecting MEP to house

If you can get it for a good price then it will work, but it's way overkill. Only 100 feet you don't really need to worry about voltage drop because you are not far enough away for too much drop. The MEP-003a is rated at 52 amps if you are using the 120/240 configuration like you should be for...
