Fuel pump part number
With rod fully depressed up in bore on flat of cam... just a little pre-load to be felt. Has in slight to too none. Good point on the pump by ACTION. Pump arm fully extended and Its...
 :)
I admit the HumV grounding is a bit different. If one looks closely schematic basic M998... HumV doesn't use the body / frame as ground return except for the transmission shifter LED. All critical electrical grounds are return wires. This sometimes makes conventional wisdom...
I would say at 5 to 8 would be safe. Remember this is for some LED's lights.
Any more go with a slave relay to supply the switched power.
Better safe than shorted, CAMO
Fact or fiction on the conductivity of the assembled Humv's body panels ??? I haven't seen any proof. My discussion points. :)
Aircraft skins (metal ones) and for the most part all parts are assembled with sealant. A corrosion preventive first and sticky stuff second. Then lots and...
“model and trim package” That's funny :funny:
At some point I would say they're all convertibles, most with the top down and sitting for a long time. What might seem like a low asking price (auction) can go crazy $$$ quick.
Then once one gets familiar with bumper to bumper warranty...
I messed up on your light needing to be shut off with RUN switch. Skip that post # 4 My BAD again. LOL
Connect to wire number 567 going to the voltmeter. This should handle any LED cabin lighting and the USB power. See picture and location in red, stolen from 86humv. (y)
Ground of each...
Yes... could to that too. Would have to tap at "F" of the CAB connector of "BOX" or same wire "F" at the lighting switch. Not Packard friendly. Really...This is a better point for a lighting take off point.
Choice is yours, CAMO
Do to the low current drain of a couple of LEDs, I don't see a problem feeding them off the "RUN" position of the "stop-run-start" switch. Build up Packard connectors to "Y splice" into the switch. Follow best practice of wire routing, connections, insulation, protection and rated fuse close...
Sorry for the up-set. Read into it that the whole of Calif was going to have CHP stopping / pulling HumV's over. Now know not to park illegally. We keep hearing stories and it seems like an ah crap moment. Again very sorry.
My bad, CAMO
Tha
Thanks for the story. I am not going to jump in and dispute it. I will do my own fact checking, related to your story, with LEO and DMV. So far this is the first I have heard of anyone being called out. Others might pile in and comment or pile right in behind you to the state line...
When did the CHP start becoming the issuing agency of titles and registrations?
I get one might not be happy with crazy CA... BUT don't blow the rest of us UP after crossing the bridge. 💥 That's just irresponsible to those stuck here, and the hobby. You can take that crap with you.
Could...
I have the Helmet Top. I find it good for my needs. Side tool box / storage and lock the whole truck up like a big fat station wagon. A little bit noisy, typical HumV.
I don't think ?? they were too popular 10 years back or readily available. Now that a few are showing up everyone want to...
Second call. Left another message to the effects of "where are you" from the troops here.
Hope he pops his head up or a message.
POP SMOKE !!! TOBASH, CAMO and the GANG
I talked to him last week. Was out on a canoe. Will give him a Heath an Welfare check.
Dropping the dime now. Left message. Waiting for a call back, CAMO
How many are really taking the windshield off?
I get once in a while lowering it. Still three Packard connector would work without the possible failure point. Just be sure to label them Ground-Power-Pump.
Hit by a bug driving, CAMO
What else is left? Think you answered your own question. One or the other know to go bad. My guess is sender. Could check tachometer with a signal from a pulse / function generator. That would be a bit science lab project.
Just a guess. CAMO
Thank you, Brother. (y) (y) ;)
Really is nice to know whats going on under the hood, so to say. A $20 dollar mod takes the guess work out.. Guys will spend more on cup holders LOL. Read all the posts about won't start, coughs, burps and blows smoke, etc. Do you think it's my fuel pump...
