The Goat is not articulated. The trailer is restricted to pitch and yaw movement and is basically a permanently attached trailer that is powered. I have pictures posted in the photo gallery of SS,

Thanks Dave, It's been a labor of love I guess, Kinda favoring the underdog. Now I have to do the same thing to my 816, a little bigger undertaking.

There's an air motor that controls the rear cable tension. It has a rubber diaphragm in it that may have a hole. They usually do, that may be your hiss. Check the control lever for the tensioner to make sure it's off.

I've owned my Goat for 18 years now, have rebuilt or replaced every nut, bolt and system on board in an attempt to return it to design. In the time I've owned it, I've embarrassed a lot of hot shot offroaders. It's always easy to cut down something that,s different. Granted, it's a bitch to work...

Your right Dave, I'm the engineer for a big building in Denver and we use Nalco products here. The Railroad uses Nalcool3000 in the big diesels with real good results.

    Cummins cold start question.

Hey Buggyman, I have the diagram for you that shows the Cummins cold start system. It's from TM9-2320-260-20. My M816 had a similar problem. The previous owner changed from 4 batteries to 2 but failed to wire the cold start correctly. It's a 12 volt feed to the cold start system. Let me know. Mike

They are a pain in the butt to get into and more complicated than you'd think. (Being Amphibious). They are a nightmare to work on, but when running , they are a kick to drive and a real attention getter. Thanks, about the house. We live out on the plaines S. E. of Denver about 40 miles. Had to...

    Another Goat

I bought it about 18 years ago from a museum in Nebraska. Totally disassembled it and started from scratch. I drove to the MVPA National convention in 2000. Elizabeth, Colorado to Kansas City , Kansas. 1200 miles round trip. 14.2 mpg at 55, not a bad ride at all just real noisy.

Thank You! He had it on E-Bay and wanted 13. I missed the Auction, his highest bid was 7 something. When I called to see if he still had it, he let it go for 11. I've still got blisters on my check writer. It is a honey though. Only thing that didn't work was the horn.

    New Arrival

Yea, I'm old man. Just ask my wife. Of course with the new truck I wont have to worry about having a wife any more. I wanted to drive it home but a trip from Spencer Mass to Elizabeth Colorado (1900 miles) was a bit more than the truck, ( or me) should be subjected to. Once It arrived and I...
