On the regulator. Front terminal. Marked 24v. Needs around 24v at that terminal when spinning to excite the alternator or it will just spin and not make any power.
Strange. Working in comm gear in the 90s we would make some of our own cables. The tm would tell you which connectors to use, what cable and the pinout. I find it hard to believe the army has field techs making up trans harnesses though. They all have their own assigned part numbers. So if...
How does your trans shift? Cant hurt to replace the output speed sensor on the trans. Common over the counter allison part. Even if its not bad a new one seems to make trucks shift a bit nicer. Could be both ctis controllers have their own issues. Often a controller will work fine in one truck...
The overspeed light comes on at different speeds depending on the pressure mode selected. Linked to trans control for speed info. Could be a connection issue where the harness meets the controller. Could be trans control or sensor related. Hard one to narrow down.
You can charge your air system thru the front red gland hand but you will release your spring brakes at the same time to the truck has to be chocked. You can remove one of the drain valves on an air tank and screw in an air fitting and fill it that way also.
All of the 1400s I have been able to find are over 10 years old. Alot of them dont seem to age well. The majority of lmtv 395s dont come with run flats. Alot of the 395s on mrap wheels have them.
The truck in the pic needed a rear axle. It had grenaded or something. Back when this was done all I had on hand were middle axles. Matt Vintageiron did the truck. The guy wanted the axle moved forward so he could turn better for plowing.
What was the issue? You said you were only getting 90psi air supply. I thought that was what you were working on fixing. Then once you had a good 125psi air supply you would start working on the ctis.
40amps x 220v is 9020 watts. If you were 40a at 110v you would be at 4400 watts. The 802 will do 6000 watts continuous and still be happy. Its not going to do 9000. Is your charger converting it to 24 or 48 volt dc to charge a battery bank?
