As @Mogman said, you can elect to use your bumper number in lieu of a license plate when your vehicle is registered as a FMV in Texas.

Today was “Take your HMMWV to work Friday,” which (in my humble opinion) should be a national holiday.

We were in the front parking lot across from the main entrance and vendor area at the museum. The same place as last year. Although we didn’t get much foot traffic (i.e., people walking across the parking lot), everyone could see our trucks.

So back on topic, I put 177 miles on the M1097R1 this weekend attending the rally and averaged 9.4 miles per gallon. I had a M105 trailer in tow for most of those miles.
The annual rally was this weekend. We are all getting home now.
