If your getting the PTO to engage I would think there maybe some wrong with your Generator.

I have not used the PTO on the M944 but on the M936 to engage the Transfer case PTO you have to put the transfer case in Neutral before you engage the PTO on the transfer case. Then after you have engaged the PTO you put the transmission in 1-5 drive and run the speed up to what is needed.

Did you clean the seating area good before you put the gasket in the grove and seated it all the way?

I just changed the oil on a M35 and the gaskets that came with the filters are the paper type, I had no leaks with the them in the past or now. Just do not spin the cans as you torgue them down. I think the torgue on the cans is 65lbft

Nice, I have started to replace the older ABC one and buy CO2 one for the trucks. But your right the CO2 one are bigger.

When the A2's came out they did not have a big filter on them. They started having a lot of problems with the small filters stopping up in a short time. So they added the big filter back on the trucks. If you do not move it to go though the big filter I would carry a spare filter in the truck.

I use my M936, I replaced a motor in a m923 with it, I lift heavy things. But your right it does have limited uses. It is great for displays and shows.

I would take it off and find a shop with a BIG press and have them try to bend it back, then reinforce it. Safety note, be sure to hold the bed up with something. On my M929 the bed will go almost 90 degrees up.

54 goes to the fuel Solenoid, 54A goes to the STE/ICE Diagnostic Connector. They both have 24v on them when you turn the truck on.
