The truck is so much more road stable with the duals compared to the 1400s. The A1 truck with fuel rate turned up isn't that bad but does burn thru fuel like that.
That is a very strange problem. Could be you somehow ended up with 24 volts on the 12 volt circuit and damaged something. The trans control is 24 volt in these trucks. If the keypad is not functioning it may be damaged. If the dash switch is unresponsive pull your 24v power relay out of the dash...

It will allow a good amount of overload. Even with battle short off. I didnt realize I was significantly over current and cooked a stator on one. The safety never tripped.
M1088 has a heavier duty rear spring pack compared to the M1083 cargo. Made to handle more weight over the rear axles. Funny m939 frame will twist and bend. Lmtv frame not so much. The rear axles are made to move and the dogbones between them keep them in line with each other.
Don't know. I'm sure there are ptos that will bolt up. Just need to find a setup that fits. It's expensive stuff though, others have searched in the past. First gen trucks have manual throttle up and A1 trucks it's electronic.
It's a neat setup being able to winch front or back. Not that many trucks have the winch. Easiest way to get a complete winch setup is buy a winch truck and switch the stuff over to yours.
So its not like the drop in detroit locker, this would be a complete unit with ring gear. In the high speed gear ratio only? And you would need high speed gearing installed in the front also.
