I think the boards are covered in conformal coating. Bench work on that board isn't the easiest thing to do. I have a good solder station and have done this type of repair before. Still a good chance a trace will lift on me. Don't the diodes serve a purpose though?
Have an AC unit. New to refrigeration, have not really done any before but time to learn. Refrigerant is removed. There are 2 schrader valve style connections. Is the top or bottom one usually the low pressure? I need to suction out the system. From the low side I believe. And then get some...
Maybe the fan glue filling stuff creates an imbalance that tears apart the clutch. Replace the fan blade right away. If any felt play in the clutch replace that too.
Your fan could be stuck from sitting. Or there is no air getting to the clutch to turn it off. Build air shut off the truck and crack the line to the fan clutch see if there is air there.
The 805 and 806 plus the 400hz variants of the same wattage. Lots of them. Some type of protective component or components that could be added before the regulator would be a nice upgrade. The military is working on phasing out this series of generator.
I have one of the Applied HVAC trailers at Lejune. All the other ones I bought are at a private lot. Was wondering if anyone who had base access could get it out of Lejune and stash it somewhere so my guy can pick it up with the others.
Thanks

Looks like this one
Is this why a voltage spike kills the regulator? There is a mod that was supposed to be done to all the 30 and 60 kw gens it adds a fuse before the regulator.
Like a m916 rear drag winch? No not made for that on the Lmtv. Winch cable comes out the side along the frame. 15k capacity on 5 ton. Ok for light recovery. Depending on weight and terrain you might be able to move the trailer into a position where you could connect to it. There is enough room...
These clutches are troublesome especially the older ones. You can disconnect the air line to test the fan if you have to. Its best to replace with new if the clutch is not working properly.
Air keeps the fan off. No air it should come on. Clutch inside could be worn out. Drain all the air out of the system with the engine off and hand spin the fan. If it free wheels its a bad clutch.
Have to be something pretty thin. You could have an aux fan. Run your truck with the cab open. Open all 3 air tanks when they drain down the fan should engage.
So the regulator is on the head. Interesting. I bet that head can be reconfig for single phase output and the regulator would still work since its integrated like that.
The head is marked internally regulated. Call Southwest see if they can email you a manual. Has to be a bad connection or maybe one of the modules went bad.
Most of the alternators in today's military trucks are niehoff and use a variation of the module style regulator. If the alternator is spinning and you have voltage at the regulation terminal to excite the alternator then it should make power. Niehoff has some troubleshooting guides available...
