I owned one that did and one that did not have the wiring.
Like CPF240, one had an attempt at it with a local wiring job.
So I assume that not all of them had the wiring installed.
Here is a few pictures of the factory installed rear bus wiring.
I would estimate that it is about 12 feet of #2 stranded wire.
The voltage at the battery and rear bus bar was the same with no load. With about a 10 amp load it dropped approximately .25 volts.

Having just installed a new HF radio and accessories on the rear radio rack in the M1009, I wanted to convert the existing 24 volt bus bar to 12 volts. And I wanted to have a better location to access 12 volts other than the one near the glow plug relay. It is limited for high current demands...
Just a reminder and some info for a few of the newer MV owners.
It's that time of year again to check your battery connections. Many battery related failures are preventable with some simple preventative maintenance.
Winter is coming for many of us and it's always a good idea to do some simple...
You can get regular plates and pay the going rate for PA tags and most likely commercial insurance. Then you could apply for the Classic tags.
In order to qualify for Classic tags, the vehicle must look like it did when it came from the manufacture. Yes, like new with an original factory type...
This may help you.

I have a M1008 doing a similar thing.
The engine starts fine when cold and when it is hot. When the engine is warm it has trouble starting. Just cranks and cranks then it will start after a considerable amount of cranking time.
I did find that it would start (when the engine was warm) if I...

This weekend I managed to get the following done;
Took care of 10 pesky riv-nuts. Welded them to the truck.
Added new HF radio and antenna.
Removed old floor mat, installed new one front and rear.
Painted drivers and passenger seat base and seat.
Removed dash, painted and reinstalled...
The glow plugs will draw around 100 amps when connected to the front battery with the resistor by passed.
Add lights, heater fan, GP's etc ~ 125 amps is my guess.
Any accessories that you may have added will increase the current demands.

Thanks 11Echo.
And I am just kidding Gimp.
I know that it is 4 times the weight of my CUCV and have no intentions of doing it.
I backed the 1009 up to it just for the picture.

In my travels yesterday, I found this trailer For Sale.
The data plate is very faded and almost unreadable. HET trailer?
It still had a GL and EUC Required sticker on it.
I thought it would look good "hooked" to my M1009!.
Any ideas on what it is?

I ordered a new IP for my M1009 from Oregon Fuel Injection today, model DB2-4544.
Rebuilt diesel fuel injector pump, injectors, and turbo for Chevy GM diesel Duramax, 6.6 L, 6.5 L & 6.2 L
This will be the second time I have purchased from them. The first IP went in another M1009 and it is...
