When I changed the oil for the first time in the 1966 M109A3, I put a 5 gallon pail under the drain plug then pulled the plug. Thats how I learned that the crankcase holds 6 gallons.....oooops.
I used the s/n from the data plate on the dash of my M35A3. Its not a 17 digit VIN but nobody cares. In AZ if it has 3 axles then its a commercial truck. DMV inspectors are getting wise: A camper body on a commercial truck is still a commercial truck.
I posted this and after letting it percolate for awhile I believe that it adds no value to the community. Thanks !!

One feature that I really liked about the CUCV Blazer was the lack of a center console. I know some guys modify commercial Walmart consoles and ammo cans to fit that space, but I like the openness and easy pass thru to the rear seating area. The Avalanche has a center seat/console that isn't...
Probably wouldn't even have to wash it, huh ?
Looking for parts that swap directly to achieve "the look". Yeah, it would be a short-bedded imposter, but thats OK.
Oh, am not new to MVs, I had n M109A3, then a CUCV Blazer (the red one with the window cages), and currently own an A3. The Blazer taught me some things that lead me to the Avalanche mod preference :)
So I have this Avalanche with blingy wheels and running boards......I'm not a fan of chrome-plated sissy trucks.....am driven to do SOMETHING. I like the idea of taking some design cues from the LSSV : wheels + bumpers + colors. Like the one pictured.
Interesting, the thought process that led you to these choices. As you are a man who actually implements ideas in hardware, you have my respect.
Makes me less fearful of making similar decisions. Yes, its money spent, but we'll make more :)
Too complicated at any speed. There are (I just counted) Ninety-seven categories to choose from. I didn't see a forum for left-hand threaded lug nuts, I expect that is coming soon. No, no hard feelings, but I'm out. Have a Merry Christmas, and a prosperous New Year !!
Yeah, OK, its a slow connection, I get that and I knew that when I posted. I'm saying that the page is uneccesarily complicated, what with banners blinking and whos on and GL pictures, etcetera. Geez , with all that stuff there is a teensy weensy place to log in, THAT ought to be bigger and more...

Does our page have to bee so complicated ?? Yes, there is no issue with T1 line, but with the aircard its discouraging: I can get a latte made during the...
