I swapped mine out with an aftermarket led. I originally had one on each side but it was too much for the factory circuit so I removed one. Would have been easy to use the factory wire to activate a relay tucked under the bed somewhere and grab 12 or 24 volts at the trailer harness to run more...
The early A1s use very similar dash panel wiring and connections to the first gen trucks. Same with the polarity box. With the C7 came data bus and advanced polarity box.
I think its basically a diode array used to prevent damage if the batts are inadvertently hooked up backwards. I have not seen one bad but the mil techs I have spoken with say they have had to replace them. Measure the voltage going in and the voltage coming out. Usually a diode will drop around...
Maybe a switch at the dash is not connected properly and power is feeding back thru it. The manual is electronic it has specific troubleshooting but I have not found wiring diagrams that can be printed out or laid out unfortunately.
Gonna be expensive to ship a 927 it's long. By the time you ship and service and store it, it may be more cost effective to buy one already in civ hands. You could post a want ad in the classifieds. The older style Michelin xl block tread tires are bad news no matter how they look.
I don't like a lot of rust. Nothing that looks like it's been forklifted or visible drivetrain damage. Don't like the older style michelin 1400s on the m939s they are prone to failure. The xzls are ok. Any truck is going to need a little tlc here and there plus routine maintenance.
Take the plastic cap off. Nut locks the threaded rod. Break nut free just a tad. I think counter clockwise increases pressure. Can't quite remember. Small adjustments make a big difference. I would start with 1/4 turn. Post a pic of what pin is missing on your wiring.
Push and turn control at the bottom right of the manifold controls the cab air leveling. I usually leave it on. The indicator pin on the cab latch shows when the latch is locked or unlocked. The cab can be down but if the latch is not locked then the cab is not secure down. The hyd pump may just...
How do you know you got all the dash connections correct? 24 volts should be switched by a 12 volt circuit activated by the dash power switch. Illumination should go thru the light switch if that's off and illumination is coming on maybe theres a short somewhere. What year and model is the...
Original batts or did you get all new ones? There polarity box under the spare tire check for loose connections there. And they have been known to fail. Cab power goes thru that box
Maybe you are somehow bypassing one of the two large relays under the panel. Those relays have wires to the panel. Maybe a pair of relay leads accidentally got switched when swapping the panel. Here is a pic of where they go.
Disconnect your batts something is def wrong. Start at the batts make sure installed properly. move on to the polarity box under the spare tire, after that the power cables go along the frame and around the pivot and into the cab. Check at the alternator make sure the outputs are not swapped by...
There isn't an euc on m939 trucks. You have 8 days to remove it. If you are not comfortable driving it out you can have it hauled. It takes a few weeks to get the sf97. There are ways around the paperwork depending on age.
