Well I hate to admit it but I'm calling defeat after spending a few more hours trying to figure out where the water is coming from! This morning I researched what the back of the gen 2 AC looks like and I found that the area behind the CTIS all the way forward, the part you can't see is actually...
Electric actuators are longer than hydraulic actuators for the same stroke length. So fitting a longer actuator in the same space would be the first hurdle the second would be strength.
Thank Ron I’ll get the Walmart brand! 😂
I tried that first with the hose spray nozzle spraying each area that I could possibly enter the vehicle. I didn’t as far as pressure washer but I’m not driving into the wind through a hurricane. But maybe I should go there next.

Problem solved. I removed the top which requires a lot more labor because you have to pull the entire door off. All to discover it wasn’t the top hinge causing the problem. Proceeded to remove the bottom hinge. Put it in the work bench vise and now you’re able to get full range of motion, like...
This didn't get much traction, but i'm back home and removed the door limiter on the bottom of the door and the door was still very stiff. So I've have been spraying penetrating oil on the hinges for a few days and working the door open and closed 50 times after each application. Tonight the...
Thanks, That would be a good idea. I did that eight years ago using some of the original cables, without doing any research. My truck was missing all the batteries and the cover, so I improvised and made a new shelf for the batteries and made an aluminum cover. No more fiberglass slivers. When I...
