I switched to 4each group 31C batteries. I had to make new mounts and connections, but way cheaper. I used 1”x.25” silver plated copper buss bars from McMaster Carr.
So Rick in your video it looks like it released the exhaust brake around 22 mph.
Your rig still has 3.90 correct? So with my 3.07 I could expect it to release more around 25-30?

Thanks, I tried, planned, hoped to achieve that. After completing it 18 months ago I finally stepped on the scales. 😂 Kinda like getting on the bathroom scales, don’t want to know the truth. But I was super excited about the axle balance.

I changed gears almost 7 years ago. Way before eco hubs. If I had a choice today I would probably go eco hubs but I don’t have my old gears to reverse it and install eco hubs.
After a total of 12 months and 23,000 miles with 3.07 gears, average speed of 50-60 mph, never faster than 60 no matter terrain or road I get a consistent 6.5 mpg.
