    Keith's M1078A1 Project Overland

While parked along the river in Augusta, Maine I meet someone who knew where our trucks were made, he actually knows Mr Stewart of Stewart & Stevenson. And I got to witness for the first time a 4’ Sturgen jump out of the water!

    Airlift/tie down bar steel grade

Even if they were made of a better grade of steel, to the scrap yards it’s still steel. It’s not stainless. Get what you can and call it good.

Fmtv transmission and CTIS displays suddenly turned off

After a couple weeks it did it again…..pulled the fuse panel cover off and sure enough the BO relay was on and only the stop light LED was illuminated. I pulled CB66 fuse and the relay turned off and everything was back to normal. I’ll be driving by Superman’s place and pick up an old style...

    Keith's M1078A1 Project Overland

The original fuel tank is aluminum and was built very well. I would personally mount it the same way they did.

    Keith's M1078A1 Project Overland

My smaller gasoline tank you’re referring to is not as deep or in other words it’s about 9” away from the frame, because of the spring hanger and other things. Also the short distance between the two L brackets that are attached to the frame are relatively close to each other which meant that I...
